Entirely depends on injuries and fitness of key players.

We're reliant on vibrancy of Spearing and Pratley in midfield, Madine up front, Beevers, Wheater at the back. Morais to supply Vela to run.

Couple of those get injured and its a big ask. Keep them all fit, and I think we've a great chance.
I note that Beevers picked up his 10th yellow last night so now misses a couple, which we could really do without.

There was the late season amnesty thing recently, so no ban. I think he'd need to get 5 before season end for any sort of ban now.

Nah, he's safe mate, we're past the amnesty date for 10 yellows.

I see BWFCi's point that we have a lot of players we'd rather not lose, but that probably also applies to plenty other teams.

It does, but we seem to have injuries to Beevers, Pratley and Spearing from last night. Hopefully just knocks. But if they missed a couple of weeks, it would put an entirely different complexion on things potentially.

It's us v Kippers now. We're in a great position - one that wasn't imaginable a month ago. I reckon 4 wins from 7 will be enough (and it might turn out to be that 3 is sufficient).

Certainly not the season I was expecting.

I had us as runners up when this poll came out. I'm beginning to think that might be pessimistic.

Point a game is a lot to make up. We're not far off now.

Aye important point. Things can change very quickly. Ours to lose now though.

Champions will be a tough ask. They've got a slightly easier run than us with just one game against a playoff team, whereas we have two (including Southend who are on a good run of their own atm).

Sheffield have also got games against 3 of the four teams currently in the relegation zone. Granted that can work against them too, but I don't see them taking their foot off the gas.

It'll be an interesting few weeks nonetheless!

Don't think you can plan for the rest of it. Reading the match report and the manager's comments on the Sheffield Oldham game it seems it was a physical battle rather than a tactical triumph. I think there'll be a few of these before it's over. If we manage to keep defending well and take our chances when they come we should be okay. Looks like Oldham did something similar. We probably need to take everything as it comes and keep concentration (yes, a real no-shxt Sherlock prediction).

Yep. Just take it game by game.

Most important one is always the next one. Result all that matters. Just watched Bradford absolutely batter Scunthorpe out of sight, but lose. Funny old game.

Scunny wonny 3-2 v Bradford - which is better for us than the other way round. They are now fourth on 67pts, 8 behind us with 6 games left (we have 7) so they can only reach 85pts. In other words, barring them catching up a lot of goal difference, 10pts should be enough for us to finish clear of them. Then it'd just be Fleetwood to go?

Another decent result for us.
85 points will deffo do it, maybe even 82/83 now.

Scunny's result is really good for us. I can see 81-83 being enough. Beat Chesterfield and get to 78 points and we will be really close. Hard to see Scunny or Bradford getting to 78 by the end of the season...

We shouldn't be talking about anything but the next game. All that matters right now is not looking beyond beating Chesterfield. Forget the big picture and just keep adding the bits of the jigsaw puzzle and the rest will be a formality. That said, overconfidence can undo us, but I can't see Parky not knowing much about what we need. It's a relay race where not dropping the batten is more important than anything else. We have it and are running. Eyes front and keep a grip...... :oyea:

Only talking about the next game probably isn't best done on a thread asking "Where will we finish?"... :P
