The only player we've got like Madine, and we seemingly can't play any other way. Think Long will come on second half having hopefully weathered the storm. I'm not thrilled but I understand why he's done it. Pointless having Morais out wide without someone to hit in the box.

Wilkinson starts. Clayton and Alf on bench.

Not quite. ALF starts up front with Wilkinson. Clayton and Long are on the bench.

Howard, Dervite, Wheater, Beevers, Morais, Spearing, Vela, Pratley, Moxey, Wilkinson, Le Fondre.

Subs: Turner, Karacan, Long, Osede, Clayton, Henry, Wabara

Had a feeling he might do that with Wilkinson. Makes sense albeit I am not convinced he will take his chance. Still we now have some subs on the bench to change it if it isn't working.
What sense is this - please elaborate....

Absolutely wank decision....

I've just started to like Parkinson & then he does this - utter madness (IMO), we may as well play with 10 men

He's feck all like Madine - there will be posters on here better than Wilkinson

I can't understand this at all....is he saying I can only play long ball football, which even if true won't work today because Wilkinson is weak and won't win a header all game - crazy, totally un necessary & stupid decision by Parkinson

He's nowt like Madine. He's powder puff. Definitely not a target man by any description.

Madine is injured
Wilkinson is supposedly a target man
He doesn't want to change formation
He's made noises about clayton all week so he is hoping it might throw scunnys game plan (same way they pretended they had 8 injuries)
I agree Wilkinson has had enough chances now and I dont think he will be any use but I understand why he is playing

We have a strong-looking bench and with Morais "assisting" so well with crosses we don't need a Messi up front, just somebody to stick a head on the crosses. Makes sense to me we'd use a big lad for that after all the wailing about wallop balls going over heads. We shall, no doubt, see what we shall see. Just come back from a walk round town in the sunshine with the wife and dog, fish and chips in el aire libre, and all that left now is to say....COME ON YOU WHITES.... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

Kettle going on now, deep breathing on the spot, lashing the butterflies into a corner with a chair and we're all set.

I know. There's a full stop between Wilkinson and Clayton.

Where have you been?

Give it a chance. We are hopeless at playing it wide and even if you don't like it we are getting success when the ball is played long with ALF playing off the target man.

It's an away game against a strong team. We aren't going to play through them.

Sorry, my bad. Phone's dying too so I didn't check.

Wilkinson isn't the call I would have made but I'm not the gaffer.

I'm on the side seat K160.

I suppose it could work if we manage to keep it tight and then bring on Clayton and Long to have a go against tired legs?

WTF why he's done this - absolutely no need....is he throwing the game - stupid decision from Parkinson IMO

Wilkinson is absolutely shite, we'll lose this now (and I've been so positive recently !)
Big man up front to win the headers. It's really not that difficult, even for you. How about giving the guy who got us into second a bit of leeway, huh?

We're in lucky yellow today and...mic lads ramble about fans, cabbages and kinga and a few bare patches on a small pitch as they get the first throw. Their goalie gets first feel of the ball. They visit, they sally and ...Moxey wins a free. Morais goes, crosses and...the keeper gets it. Be nice to get an early goal away instead of a marathoin wait. Throw us/then them, Pratley does well and we have a goal kick. Some scores that matter not then....they sally at us....we get a throw.
Mic man sounding positive, then some to and fro and Morris tries for a handball off Moxey supported by his mates. We just about clear then Pratley wallops it. Goal kick us that finishes in Scotland then we sally at em again. Alf, Moxey, Alf, Wilkinson and...we lose possesion. Ref gives them a soft foul and then they visit again.....throw them off Beevers. Bad throw and we get the same....A throw them then a bit of this and that and some chat. They sally, Moxey does well and the ref upsets the mic lads with a bad call...

1-0 them as a header off the free kick goes home. Bad start.

Let's hope Wilkinson can provide the Afterglow.

(I wouldn't stake my gran's house on it though.)

Fleetwood will win. We will lose. Could see this coming a mile off after Wednesday. Serious case of counting chickens going on too early amongst Bolton fans. This could very easily fall apart yet.

Next two local derbies could easily yield not much. Both sides will be desperate to beat us.
