Sure hope it pays off later. We seem to always have a sick room star on the books but rarely helping the cause. One slight "plus" is a two week international break in September amongst it..

Knee??

When was the last time a player came back after a knee and did well? Isn't a knee what Holden and Sean Davis had? Was Chungy a knee too?

Well, going back to Quinton Misfortune, Ricky Gardner.. back a ways, and Mark Davies a bit nearer and quite a few in between, yes.

They did well after a knee? Almost as good as before they had knee(s)?

Slightly difference in that this is torn cartilage rather than cruciate ligament. I agree with the sentiment that the predicted 6 weeks recovery time following surgery doesn't seem very long.

Chungy's was a broken leg (might have been other damage as well).
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Fear not, AW, it's only a cartilage op - they were all the rage in the 70's.

Even I've had one. :)

there is a player have a trial with bolton but they refuse to take him because i think he is in that time still has a contract with his turkish club , but now they release him and he he is free now , i think he will help us a lot and be a better sub for madine and maybe he will take his place .

his name is Cheick Diabaté, his height is 194 m , his position is a striker , he is from Mali , and last half of season played on loan with french side metz on ligue 1 and scored 8 goal from 14 match .

i think he will help us a lot and he will be better than wilbraham who did not do any thing and he is 37 years old .

i hope somebody suggest this player to bolton if somebody have any connection with bolton staff .

If he's under contract, we cannot take him

He's been released from his contract, though I read somewhere he was on trial and we passed on him

We won't sign a 5th striker.

We need a defensive midfield player, a midfield player who can score goals (to make up for Vela) and yes another striker who can score.

But having signed Wilbraham I doubt they'd add another striker. As it is now one out, one in, I can only see Chris Taylor going which would mean a midfield player of some sort coming in. Can't see who else we could get rid off from the squad.

Wouldn't surprise me if he loaned Derik out. He doesn't seem to fit the Parky mould. Too small for CH, not athletic enough for a midfield start. Shame, because I'd like to see him in that DM role with Karacan and Cullen in front of him.

Derik's a square peg - His only chance of games is being shoe horned into different positions as injury cover. He's not going to be here next August

Derik is versatile cover. He's not brilliant, but offers a good squad option.
