Do BWFC actually carry out any administration? As far as I can see my DD is between me and some finance house!
There's definitely work involved as some poor bugger has to match payments up etc to make sure nothings gone awry. That said, it is a bit Ryanair and I'm sure you can expect a seat selection fee next season :D
Want to use our piss laden bogs? That'll be £5 please!

Aye, but you can always pay another fiver on top and use the priority queue. Anyway, the youngsters don't know they're born not having had the pleasure of the bogs at Burnden!

But someone has to do that regardless as to the method of payment. It's a very dubious add-on, is this!

Big difference between 10k monthly payments than 10k single payments, especially when a percentage of those monthly payments might be stopped or unpaid due to insufficient funds etc. I agree that it is a cost of doing business and I hate all these add-ons everyone likes to spring on you.

That doesn't effect the club though. The finance agreement for the STH is with the loan company who presumably pay the club with a single payment.
It's they that'll come after you if you default. You can't just say "Oh, we're doing shit" and walk away. You've taken a loan out.

Didn't realise they were using a finance company. In that case I guess there will be lots of silly fees if you've a failed payment etc.

Do they use a finance company? I've never actually looked, but when I changed bank accounts it was BWFC themselves who contacted me to say the payment had failed.

They do but I didn't keep the blurb and have forgotten who they are. Don't forget though, Ticketmaster answer the phone as 'Bolton Wanderers' - are you sure it was the club who contacted you?

Yes. Sure. Because they had some sort of database issue and my details kept reverting to my old account so I had to go and see them in Bolton central to resolve - which involved setting the whole thing up again. Was a few years ago like.

Hmm, you've got me curious now. It was definitely with some finance house when I set it up, but that was years ago. My statements do say 'Payment to Bolton Wanderers' though. Because I let it auto renew I never bother to look - I will this time though.

ST holders get free entry to watch all BWFC Ladies' home games, now to be held at Atherton Colls.

I see they now want an extra £20 to give you priority for away tickets. What a con. Can't imagine too many will pay for that

Wasn't that available last season?

You could sign up for an away ST last season, for which they automatically debited your account and sent you tickets.

Perhaps they might if it means guaranteed entry to what could turn out to be a pivotal encounter at Burton Albion in the season's penultimate match?

Any indication of how well/badly ST's are shifting? Normally you get a few snippets from the Thumb (Marc Iles) or the club themselves, but nothing this time - which makes me think the price increase hasn't been too popular

That really is the only away game at which I see demand outstripping supply though. Maybe Brentford at a push.
