Squad numbers 17/18
In case you're bothered – if you're not, please feel free to loudly and repeatedly tell everyone how little you're bothered – these have been announced now so you can get your hero's name printed on your new shirt, for a few extra bob of course.
Mark Little becomes, if I’m not mistaken, our first No.2 since Kevin McNaughton. Buckley takes 11, which is a proper winger’s number. Andy Taylor takes Moxey’s 3; ALF takes Proctor’s 9; Karacan moves from 10 (vacated in January by Zach Clough) to Spearing’s 8, Sammy takes 10. Derik, for reasons presumably personal, switches from 15 to Trotter’s 17. Arma takes 20, Darby takes Wilson’s 23.

Jack Earing (Really?)
Ryan White
Lloyd Cole Lonsdale

Little and Darby are the two right backs we've signed (hopefully one can cover the left too!). Buckley is a winger who's played in the Prem (a bit) for Sunlan and plenty in the Champo.
Rest are kids I think.

Re: Squad numbers 17/18
A variety of kids - I think Jeff King might be 23.
Darby is the right-back PP for whom wanted to swap Proctor to Bradford in January. An old mate of Spearing and the other half of England Women centre-back Steph Houghton.
Little is ex-Bristol City, more tier-two experience, more of a forward thinker (wingback?) than Darby.

King is 21 I think. By all accounts he's been good this pre-season. Seeing as we have 3 senior central midfield players and little chance of signing anyone decent now, I think we'll see King feature plenty this season. Parky wanted him in the senior squad Jan onwards last year but was thwarted by embargo rules.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 12:22 pmA variety of kids - I think Jeff King might be 23.

Re: Squad numbers 17/18
Number 42 in a football team? They used to have this great idea about team numbers. It went something like: There are eleven players in the team so lets call then numbers one to eleven. Even with this new fangled subs thing, we could have S1,S2 and S3...We might even go as far as confusing the opposition by not having numbers at all.....yeah, that should do it.

Speaking of squad numbers - Fulham have signed 22 year old Aboubakar Kamara from Amiens, France
He's specifically asked for and been granted, the number 47, as he wants hid 'brand' to be AK-47!!

If he had any brains he'd want to be as far away from an AK47 at a transfer will take him.boltonboris wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2017 3:20 pmSpeaking of squad numbers - Fulham have signed 22 year old Aboubakar Kamara from Amiens, France
