Wow lets calm down a bit.

It is going to be very tough to stay up, but we are two days into a 9 month long season!! Some reasons to be cheerful, for balance:

1.) Parky and his staff are about to sign a new deal. Not something they would do if they thought the club was a train wreck, or if things didn't look brighter going forward.
2.) The Blumarble situation does seem to progressing with the EFL being asked to give clarification in the latest adjournment of the SSBWFC winding up order. Suggests a resolution is on the table. Once that is sorted we should be on our way to exiting the embargo. Too late maybe for this TW, but if we can stay in contention a chance to properly strengthen in January.
3.) We don't know how long Vela is out for, it might only be a couple of months. And Wheater might be back in a few games, and Burke looks a decent replacement for Wheater. Pratley can do Vela's job, maybe not as well, but a reasonable replacement given our squad limitations. Buckley also could offer a more attacking option there, or Derik a more defensive one, with Cullen and Karacan pushed further forward, which is probably what needs to happen as neither of those are comfortable doing the DM role. In other words the injuries don't have to mean a complete derail.

Granted the first couple of days are as bad as they could have been, it is going to be tough, but jeez, a bit early for towel throwing.
Spot on!!!!

When's Morias back ? We missed his delivery; balls into the box, and just general guile on Saturday.

Morais back would facilitate a 4231 nicely, alongside a fit Ameobi, Buckley and Le Fondre. Madine up top (yes I know its 3 from 4 listed but thats a good thing).

Its not the end of the world.

I would also expect there is a bit of bargaining now - Vela out 'lomg term', come on footbal league let us sign another...then he maybe does a Pratley late on in the season.

Maybe we can re-sign Spearing now?

Good ole Jay Spearing - £4grand a week might now appear a better bet than the £0grand a week hes been offered so far

Come on jay finish off the squad it feels like we are a player short from the great squad morale we had. You can't say when you wake up in the morning that your not itching to put on the bwfc socks and join your mates down at lostock.

Iles has put 6 weeks on vela which is the first time I have seen a timescale on his injury. Good news as I thought season ending in the first instance.

Sammy and Wheater back after the break as well. Get them straight in the side.

On the downside, Karacan, Cullen and Buckley all injured!

Yep, no timescale on Karacan yet which I don't know what to make of - can't be a break?

Cullen I didn't know about but I am not too arsed, he's added nowt from what I have seen.

Buckley more frustrating - muscular or summat? Hasn't got going yet as he doesn't fit into a 352 but I would like to see him and Sammi in a 4231/451.

Fitness depending, for now he'd be a sub for Sammy or Morais. Get Fil concentrating on creating rather than running back towards a slipshod defence and we might just get more out of him.

If the embargo has been lifted - where are our new signings ?
I would have expected a couple of free agents to have been signed - even if its oldies /perma crocks on a pay as you play basis

KA must know that if he wants to make a buck selling us on - that we will be worth a lot more as a championship club than a league 1

They're fifth in League One. Might take our place next season...

That would be some achievement by Bowyer, especially if it were at the expense of Blackburn.

Remarkable what he's achieved at both clubs
