Re: Website Errors and faults
Site isn't opening for me on any mobile device even using the https link.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:08 amAh that's a good move. Might possibly explain why I've had trouble getting the site working on my phone (Chrome on iPhone) if it's going to an old bookmark - although you'd think it'd redirect...
Not sure why that is, seems like the mobile version may be broken.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever logged on to the mobile version successfully unless I had Gary Madine typing it in for me...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:14 amSite isn't opening for me on any mobile device even using the https link.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:08 amAh that's a good move. It won't open in a browser on a tablet or phone for me. Only been like this since the last couple of days. Opens fine on a desktop or laptop. Mobile and tablet...just get a blank white screen.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:42 amYeah, I don't think I've ever logged on to the mobile version successfully unless I had Gary Madine typing it in for me...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:14 amSite isn't opening for me on any mobile device even using the https link.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:08 amAh that's a good move. Sort of works on mobile chrome for me but has been regularly crashing the last few days.
Seems better today.

Avatars have all disappeared. How do you get them back?

See an earlier post on the previous page about https. However it is short on detail on how to do this (for old folk).Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 1:32 pmAvatars have all disappeared. How do you get them back?

Re: Website Errors and faults
I just reuploaded my avatar – it was still there when I went to User Control Panel then Profile then Edit Avatar. Had to do a bit of fannying around with the size though.Montreal Wanderer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 2:18 pmSee an earlier post on the previous page about https. Re: Website Errors and faults
Just a question (from one of "the old folk) but why can't we upload from " My Images/Pictures as in the past. Saving an image to them and then uploading from there was so simple?

Re: Website Errors and faults

I've had the exact same problem. I also can't get it to load the site from a browser search on 'the wanderer' and clicking the link from my iphone.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:08 amAh that's a good move. If I simply go into my browser on my phone and google "the wanderer bwfc" it presents the https link as the top hit.
However, the page does not load. Same on my ipad.

Re: Website Errors and faults
^^ Thanks DJB, but it wasn't actually Avatars I was querying, but any pictures saved to "My Pictures". There's a facility for uploading url's, but not pics from our own files (My Pictures) into a post message. Am I getting something wrong?

This will allow you to upload an image and include it.
It is only available in full editor mode not the quick reply.

Are you still having this problem, because I am. No problem on the laptop or tablet, but anything made by Apple just doesn't want to know.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 4:28 pmIf I simply go into my browser on my phone and google "the wanderer bwfc" it presents the https link as the top hit.

Any chance you can have a look at this when you get a minute please DJB? Cheers!

Can you arrange it that when someone types in the word 'Madine' we see a photo of a dray horse instead please, DJBlue?

On my iPhone, I use a browser called Dolphin and this site loads fine. However, when I try to open it in Chrome or Safari I get the same message as the others that the 'page cannot be reached'.
It isn't a problem because I think Dolphin is better but I thought I would share my experience.
