My memories of the 60s a bit vague now, I was 10 when we won the world cup. But I am guessing farrimond hartle hill and Hopkinson. Not sure on hartle though.
People haven't got a good word for you, but i have T**T.

Wow not as senile as I thought I was. Freddie hill was my favourite as a child, I had never seen anybody run like he did. He always seemed stooped.

A rare pic of Nat at Burnden I found by chance. It was for sale so I hope I'm not breaching any copyright. There's no commercial aspect from me and the pic was for sale for a couple of quid on e-bay.

This is indeed what he meant, though it could have been expressed more clearly. This season is the first time we have finished higher than the previous season in that long league ladder.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2017 7:11 amI had the start point as 13th in the league (if the leagues are one big ladder). We cant finish higher thab 13th in the premier league! Reading it again of course we will finish higher than last season...which i think is what the geezer who wrote it is getting at.
