^ How many of that lot are we even going to attempt to attract? That'll be 0 then.
We have no process in place to negotiate a way out of the position we are in. Everything is 'for the moment' planning, if you can even call it planning.
Where is the Vision? Where?
I totally agree with regards to 'where is the vision', and I highly doubt that we would get any of those named because we wont pay enough of their wages or a loan fee, but we are skint as a club & unfortunately until Ken Anderson sells up or he gets investment in we haven't got a pot to piss in.

Pilkington and Wells are the most likely of those longshots

Can’t afford vision. But we’ve done ok have we not?

Connor Wickham, Sam Gallagher and Tomer Hemed would each likely cost around the same as Wells and they'd fit the system.

Connor Wickham would be a great shout. However, whilst Doogie "Dour Scottish stereotype" Freedman is footballing director we won't get a sniff. Chris Martin didn't play for Derby again today. Mobile and target man enough to fit PP system?
Pfffft.

Chris Martin is another where he was excellent a few years ago at this level, but crap recently. Maybe Parky's style would suit him better. We'll have to wait and see what goes on. I'd not object to Martin if he arrived.

Can't say I'd be thrilled if he was being signed for the #10 role, but as a deep-lying passer he could offer a new option. We certainly need the type.

From Kenneth's latest missive:

There are still a couple of weeks to go until the loan window closes and we are working tirelessly to strengthen our squad. We recently had an offer of £900,000 turned down for a striker we wanted on loan which would have been made permanent in January. We have now moved on and are currently talking to two Championship players with a view to a loan move. As always, we will keep you updated on transfer business.

Would that option be a luxury player who sits on the bench? Cannot see it at all. Lazy. Wouldn't fit into our team at all. Less so than Ireland.

Someone who can spot a pass and spread play.

Come off it. Yes at his peak he did that. But you know as well as I do, that he had a Blackpool team built around him. He'll not have that luxury here. Would be a total waste of a squad place IMO.

Not to mention his best days are behind him now.

I felt the same about bringing in Gary O'Neil, but he's doing okay. If Parky thinks he can do a job, sitting deep and spreading the ball, I'm fine with that. Not a player I'd have jumped at, but hey.

If you watch the Reading game back, the number of times we had a chance to feed the ball into channels from deep was amazing - but I think we completed one of those passes all game. Lowe tried some, but he doesn't have the quality on the ball.

I wouldn't write him off just yet, Insane. Adam can pass, and it's better to have an option on the bench that we know can pass than one who can't.

My concern is that, the more CM's we get, the less we'll see Otz (who I think we'll hardly see as it is).

Oztumer will play the number 10 role. So needs to oust Vela.

I would like another CM, I'm far from convinced on Adam.

We are linked with Cameron Jerome today, who would be excellent. But Leeds seemingly want him and he's likely to go there.

Adam wouldn't be my first choice. He was unplayable in this league for Blackpool but there have been some pints under the bridge since then. Set-piece delivery is something else he'd add though. Far from convinced on his attitude or if he'd even get in the team.

Jerome always a joke effect we were linked with him in the Prem days, but he's tip top at this level. Magennis upgrade and I'd be chuffed. Sounds unlikely though.

Or Murphy. Think we'll see plenty of Josh in the deeper 2 this year, particularly at home.
