They get the deep free kick and the keeper wellies. We get a free for a high foot...Sammi goes and....Henderson grabs it. Mic lads chat a bit, then O wallops one. The come again via Fleck and O'Connell. they play keep ball and.....Sharp almost got away. O clears, they get a corner. Short, in and.....Basham shoots wide from teen yards...unmarked. What's happening?

This could be 3 or 4 for Sheff at this rate. Been awful, I know we've had one day less rest but you've got to compete, BWFC. I wonder if Williams will be introduced at HT as Murphy. It's 2-0, soft goal.

I told'ya. Blades storm the ramparts early season. Always have. Boiling oil and footballers who can actually defend are required to stymie the fxckers.

Cross sailed past us like the Mary Celeste (apparently) and we're two down and not half an hour played.

On attack we just rely on SAmeobi

My issue is that we don't seem to learn. Sheffield Utd are a decent side but man for man we should be able to compete with them

And.....note made that Parky made five changes....then we get a free kick. And.....Vela and...straight to the keeper. Now we'll see what we're made of. Heads up lads and get at em. Ben has the ball and....away crowd doing plenty shouting. Mac, and they clear as he plays Billy no mates. Mic chat, then some to and fro and here they come again. A bit of Corporal Jones needed here I feel? Free kick us, and....Grounds...and....it ends fruitless. Goal kick.

A Grounds wallop, Mac and...we get a throw...and another....O, Sammi....some pat a cake and...we go and....Murphy..Buckley....gets a corner. They clear, we send it back...they sally and threaten. And Billy Sharp? sends one over the bar. Have we had a decent shot? Throw us, O, Wheats....Sammi, Murph....Sammi...a throw near their box. Come on lads...Sammi slings one in and Buckley heads back and...we get a corner. And.....a goal now would kick it up....they clear and ...win a throw. After our great start this is a bit of a sickener....

Mac breaks and....wins a corner. Vela and.....ref gives them a free kick for interference. We need a goal at least to go in at the break. A wallop chance for us and......Ben sails it forth....O, back to Ben, wallop again. Throw us and....back, forth, Sammi again and....Murphy getting the poor words for lack of effort.

They've worked us out. Double team SAmeobi and switch the ball around our defense.
We look like rabble on defence if anything the ref is favouring us.

Mac and Sammi try a sally, they get a throw. Grounds, Buckley....Grounds.....Mac and....they head it behind for a corner. And...Vela and...ohhhh off the line and another corner. Vela again and....they clear. Lowe feeds Ben and he wallops. They come at us and mic lads have a chat and some scores.....Throw them and...we're doing this the hard way. A two goal advantage to them and half time looms ...and....Wheats, back to Ben for a wallop....O wins a throw, Sammi, Lowe a bad touch and they vist again. We go, Murphy and.....Sammi can't reach that. We get a free kick, forth it goes and back it comes. Mic chat and....some more chat, then....some more and....at the break we have a hill to climb. 0-2

30 minutes in and I counted both sets of players as I was sure they were playing with about 4 more than us. They're working harder and have way more movement than us.

Feel sorry for McGennis who has worked his socks off. Fingers crossed for a complete turnaround next half

The headiness of the opening weeks have blinded us to reality. Anybody who thinks the natural course of things is for us to be in the top three and Stoke to be in the bottom three need their heads testing.

Did anyone believe that?

I'm still aiming 4th to 6th from bottom. Most Wanderers fans I know of are pretty much the same

We need to do a "Forest" at them. That was never on but we did it. If we can just get a goal they might figure a one goal lead isn't enough and come hunting...and open up. We 're stil very much a "Hello, my name is..." side with a bunch of almost strangers trying to match good sides. Somebody other than Sammi needs to take it to them and chnge the focus. Come on lads, you can do it....

McGoldrick comes on for Clarke for them, no changes for us. Away we go and....win a free for a push on Mac. Sammi gwets an early touch...Murphy, Buckley bound but didn't reach him. Mc Goldrick.....Ohhhhh, took a touch and lashed one that Ben had to make a save from. We get a free kick and clear. Buckley wins a bad pass ....and it ends in no man's land. Fre kick them and they pass it back.

After the goals the last 20 looked a lot more even.
Olki has been buzzing about but is spraying his passes.
Murphy and Buckley have been sluggish.
Bring on Noone or Wildschut and Joe Williams.
2-0 down why not. Looked energetic on his highlights.
Or switch the formation they have us figured out.
