...amidst the encircling gloom" ...Pretty apt description of life at the Unibol right now. At least they all got paid, but with the general atmosphere and Sammi Ameobi watching from the stalls, expectation has to be less than seasonal goodwill. Will the Yorkshire lot relish the thought of "only Bolton" or can we send em back to Ilkley Moor "bout" points?

Saiz won’t be playing, having a medical in Spain.

They’ll still dick us though. 0-4 or similiar. Be better if this was at Ellend Road. As it is I will be at a do with a load of em on Saturday night, cannot wait.

Strength comes through adversity. We'll win 2-1. It'll be perishing cold but I'll be walking home happy. For once.

We've had to manage without Sammy through an extended injury period, so we have to look down other avenues tomorrow. Will Oztumer get a game; which striker(s) will lead the line, can Wheats force his way back into the defence and what is the line up likely to be? (Questions, note)

I’d play Oztumer and Magennis with Buckley behind Doidge. Rest of the team should stay the same if fit.

Changes: Maggie for Doidge, Wheater for Beevers, Vela for Sammy

Alnwick; Olko, Wheater, Hobbs, Taylor; Lowe, Vela, Williams, Noone, Buckley, Magennis

Could be a reversion to the 4-3-3 again, with Lowe behind Vela and Williams, and the wingers either side of Maggie (obvz)

Or keep faith with the 4231 and have Vela as the hard-running No.10 in front of Williams/Lowe

Absolutely lousy weather for fans and players alike. Might suit the homers rather than the visitors and, for me, a lot depends on what impact Vela will have up front. Not too worried about our defence and Oztumer might be used advantageously later on; fresh legs etc. Doidge, Donaldson and Wildschut could all make a difference for the good is we aren't losing. Then again, we're not going to lose..are we....COME ON YOU WHITES.. :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

Go on, repeat that for me Tango... "Not too worried about our defence..." You need a knighthood for pure optimism, Sir Tango.

17 games without a win and reying on big defenders to score from set pieces tends to indicate our main problems are a bit more up the sharp end rather than the odd-goal defence....just saying like...

Just seen a polar bear crying it's eyes out.

Pitching up at the club shop last July to stump up 750 quid in the boiling heat and full of ridiculous optimism seems a long time ago now.

We're back on air and we've survived 7 mins (apparently) and we just had six passes and then....we nearly got a corner. 5000 away fans estimated by mic man....

Parky changing the team once again. Do one please and soon as.
So glad I'm free from the club for now, I will not give the club another penny as long as the Andersons are in charge.

Their keeper just made a one-handed catch and now we have a free kick....(mic man tells us Bury are losing) ...some head tennis and back to Benn for a wallop. Some chat, then....they wallop back, we claim it via Taylor and....a throw. And another..and...some chat about this and that, then...Taylor gives Ben another wallop chance as Bury go 2 down (do we care?).....We sally forth, some scores hit the air, then.....a bit more chat.

Reading and Hull are in front by a goal, as less importantly are QPR. :?

And Bury fade into the distance and....more scores, then a free kick us and.....a fashion report on shirt colours etc, then,,,,Mac gets nailed for a foul. Can this be true, we attacked..? we set off via Wheats. Back from them and...some chat from the mic box, then....scores from afar and.....tell you what, why not score first and......Buckley, then Lowe..goes and we lose out. Mic man reckons it's steadied down a bit and Baker? gets a headed chance from the box edge. Vela goes now and....Lowe and.....we lose it and....the ref speaks to Lowe and gives them a free kick.
