That is an absolute disgraceful goal to concede.

Seriously, they haven’t even had to turn up this half. We have worked our hardest, just a lower league team really aren’t we! Teams who play here don’t need to break sweat.

No doubt Ken Anderson will come out tomorrow and say we won this game.

He needs to stop dicking about and put one of the youngsters on - we know what the rest of the bench can do - feck all!

Game over, defeat to nil, didnt look like scoring, other team barely broke sweat. Same old, same old. We are so far off the pace in this league it’s embarrassing - we probably won’t hit 30 points at this rate.

Watched the game on a link( thanks DjB) pretty woeful (sorry Spots, but nothing to commentate on). Soft first goal and wtf didn't Ben spread himself for the second. Game not about management or ownership tonight, just a jaded looking kick and rush team playing Moss Bank football. Sammi was blowing like Steptoe's Hercules second half and we just looked second rate most of the night. They must have been told all they had to do was run at us and we'd panic. They did, and got two goals and three points. We had a bed sheet and placard demonstration. Being a Whites supporter not much fun. I know K.A needs to go, but on the field he has no input. We looked like what we are, bottom rungers in snakes and ladders.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?

Vital at this point, but yes, auto correct seems to think our demi-Portuguese friend is running a knock-off pizza delivery. Should have been "Domingos and I".

Are we in danger of recording our lowest ever goals haul over a season?

The double sub choices were crap IMO. Should have gone with two recognised strikers and threw everything at them.
Pritchard had a few good touches and tackles in his 10min cameo. We needed someone to chase and press them, he did well.

Agreed.
WBA were there for the taking at that point.
Once again PP didn't have the balls to properly go for it.

This. Their defence won't have an easier 90 minutes this season and they join a lengthening list (Blackburn, Leeds, Hull and Swansea) of sides who were no great shakes but have strolled to an easy 3 points.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 10:01 pmGame over, defeat to nil, didnt look like scoring, other team barely broke sweat.
A side, manager, formation like ours that creates so little needs to practice their set pieces. We carry no threat there either. I don't think we'll get more than another 10 points this season

I thought we played fairly well compared to recent performances, and if we had got someone on the end of the crosses in we would have been alright. But obviously we didn't, and so we're not.
After an hour, a lofted pass was played wide to Taylor in space only for him to miscontrol it. A minute after that, we picked Dawson's pocket and again played it wide to Noone in space only for him to run straight into Holgate. Then thirty seconds later Hobbs lets Field run in behind him and they get a second. It's those moments where that lack of quality really shows itself.

Typical us. Lots of effort and running, but most of it going backwards, zero goals, defeat.
Our player with the most quality (Ameobi) is too often defending on the edge of his own penalty area. I really think that if we had a young Ronaldo or Messi in our team he would be charging up and down the wing, and substituted looking knackered after 70mins. It is all about running and defending. A L1 philosophy in what essentially is Premiership 2.
I wonder where we are in the distance covered stats? Whoscored.com doesn't appear to provide this stat? Wouldn't surprise me if we were in the play offs for this stat, as we are automatic for aerial duels won. Given we are the lowest scorers in the country, our goals scored:distance run ratio I imagine could be one of the worst ever, which I think is the most telling aspect of our story.
