Fully expect us to lose this, but I'm encouraged that Parky has made noises about playing Pritchard and Connell. I harp on about this quite regularly, but it's absolutely vital that we continue developing players if the club is going to be sustainable in the long term. Regardless of what happens in the short term with our ownership, the reality is we're never going to be a club that generates out-sized commercial or match day revenue, so we need to make sure we're producing youngsters for the first team/to be sold on.

Parky has told us we can’t possibly expect the same team to play two games in five days and has vowed to make changes. He’s actually pretty much decide we have fck all chance of progressing (against a mid table team in our league) - maybe one of the squad changes we can make is for a manager who wants to win a game? Let David Lee take the lads maybe?

Is he really the same manager who won with Bradford at Chelsea and got them to a league cup final? Really?

A crushing defeat here for a largely changed team and everyone at the club telling us we can concentrate on the league. Well we lose every week in that as well I guess!

The only positive will hopefully by Pritchard playing, maybe Connor Hall?? If they show any ability in the final third they won’t be playing again though!!

Even on a miserley (miserly?) two grand a week at worst, that's two thousand pounds per week, I find that statement in the mind-boggling class. At one stage of my employ I worked as a security guard fro the three years. Every second week was on nights, seven, twelve hour shifts in a row; that's 84 hours per week for buttons. Forgive me for laughing aloud. It's the fault of the system and not the players that makes it so utterly ridiculous, but ridiculous it is. Football is a joke these days.

Its not a case of "can't" or laziness is it? Its that performance dips by a few percent as a result of tiredness and injury risk goes up.

You remember that at one point Sam Allardyce produced the data to show this phenomenon. And argued that teams in Europe midweek needed to make at least 6 changes if they wanted to compete the subsequent weekend.

Worth noting security guards don't tend to security guard against other professional security guards who have all the training they do but haven't worked the week long night shifts.

Though, just to disagree with everyone, I'm a little skeptical about citing it here. It's 5 days since the last game and another 8 until the next. I think they'll be fine and anything more than a couple of changes can't be justified on that front.
