Best stand at stadium.

Best stand at stadium.

Post by Bjarke » Wed Jan 30, 2019 6:28 pm

Hi all
Thank you for accepting me into this Forum.

We are a couple of Danes planning a trip to see the Bolton wanderes vs. Preston game. And before buying tickets, we would like to make sure that we get tickets to the right stand, so we get as much atmosphere and as good an experience as possible. So what stand would you recommend?
Hope you have a second to help us out, and thank you in advance.

Best regards
/Bjarke

Atmosphere,

East Stand lower, close to South stand.

Best seat,

Personally I would go for the West Stand Upper as you will not struggle to see if there is a low sunset.

Away end (south stand)

Jokes

Good luck and I hope you have a nice trip - but don’t expect a good match!

It's better to avoid the corner of the east stand lower and the south stand in my opinion. The "atmosphere" is mostly just teenagers with little to no interest in football pathetically trying to goad the opposition supporters. The rest of the east stand lower is pretty decent though, but as stated above it's directly facing the sun when it's out. The north stand sometimes has an alright atmosphere but bare in mind that it's the family stand, and the west stand is probably the quietest but offers the best views.

All in all, I'd say the east stand lower as close to halfway as possible for the atmosphere, or the west stand upper for the best view.

If you want to stand up - east stand lower near the corner.

You could probably use the director's box; it's sure to be vacant. :|

LOL

...

In all fairness, I'm just showing the geezer he has an option of standing up though

I'd also say he'd have a bit of banter with the Preston fans down there, but Ken's decision to shove the away fans upstairs means there's not much of that these days ...
