Backs to the Millwall, Sat 9/3 3pm

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Apropos of not much except I was thinking of Ireland, and suddenly thought....hey, whatever happened to Stephen Ireland our saviour in disguise? So what did?
Released in the interests of both parties. I've not heard whether anyone else has taken a punt on him.

I suspect his level of fitness wasn’t worth his level of pay. Especially given what’s happened since.

Unity and team spirit can rise from the ashes of the fire started by the incumbent owner. The club is the heart that beats for so many, the centre to a town of proud and loyal people. Loyal people working to keep the club alive knowing that they may not be rewarded for their hard work. People who invest their time, passion and emotions.

We have loyalty that in even the darkest days keeps us coming back for more. We won't give up on the club. We won't let the bastard run us down. We will be here until the bitter end. We will continue to support this team we call our own!

I hope we can all get behind the team this weekend and show the club that we are loud, proud and glad we have a team to call our own!

Personally, I'm not bothered about the result. I want the players to go out and play with no pressure knowing that they are supported and will be until they no longer play for this club. Go out and show us what this club means to you and we'll show you what this club means to us.

I'd like to hope that Friday will be the end of a torrid era in the history of this great club.

The glimmer of light is flickering at the end of what has been a long dark tunnel.

Kudos to Wheater, Lowe and Remi Matthews, who made a special trip to the stadium yesterday specifically to try to raise morale among staff. Remember the players haven’t been paid yet. Big men.

Yep. Always interesting to see who steps up in these times - Wheater has been a constant through a lot of (all of!) the shitty times and never shirks. Certainly one of the greatest figureheads we’ve had, albeit through the leanest of times.

Great sentiments from djblu. I intend to shout myself hoarse on Saturday. No change there but I'll make sure it's all positive :D

Brexit,;knife crime, an unjust society etc can all get to feck for 90 minutes. We're Bolton Wanderers, nothing else matters.

Then I humbly suggest fans at the ground get behind the team.

Quite frankly, the protests worked. He's clearly packing his bag. Best thing that can happen now is to win a game or two. Let's let anticipation turn to positivity, beat Millwall – I don't care if it's a defensive 1-0 win with a goal off Beevers' arse - then let's see about Wednesday on, er, Tuesday.

I've been in favour of getting behind the team all along. The protests in my view were not helpful.

But we are where we are. They will claim the protests worked - I will argue that even those with the most basic maths ability knew that the EFL structural payment in January would not stretch far beyond that month.....

You're fiscally right, but what the protests did was give Ken a reason to huff off and claim the moral high ground.

Or you might argue - gave Ken an incentive to delay payment to staff as an act of revenge.....

Either way "lets be loud and proud" regardless....

Way to piss on someone's chips Insaney

Whether it's happened before weekend or not, it will be nice just to concentrate on the football rather than who owes what, who lent what to who and how much fuel is left in the generators at the training ground.

Then so be it. As long as the club outlives him.

Parky has a touchline ban, so he will be blameless if / when we lose on Saturday. :D

It's not a stadium ban, though. He'll still pick the team and make substitutions from on high.

He'll be overhearable, up in the spongey seats. Maybe when he phones down to Parkin "Take off Connell for Murphy", Basran/Brittan/Kenyon/Whothefuckever will lean forward, smack the phone out of his hand and say "Do that and you're clearing your desk, sunbeam." :D

Looks like we've got the same referee we had at home to Wigan. Hopefully we won't have a repeat of giving the opposition penalties for fair challenges.
