Turn right at t-Bird i-th hand pub Hindley. Wigan away, Sat 16th,3-0'clock

Post by TANGODANCER » Thu Mar 14, 2019 2:10 pm

Title used to be a standing joke back in the days of yore when I had a shop in Hindly. The Bird i-th Hand pub was( still is) at No 1, Wigan Road there and you did turn right to get to Wigan. Anyway, it's a real Alamo match for us and naught but a win will surely stop us being a League One team next season. Is a win on...?

Got tickets for this before Tuesdays game. Had it been after I'm not sure I'd have bothered.

I think we're already down and the only pleasure would be dragging these duffers down with us. However, we've created next to nowt in nearly every game this season and we're not going to change that on Saturday.

0-2 loss

Trying to be positive but honestly can't see anything other than a defeat and a red card at some point for a Bolton player. Lol

Until the age of 19, I lived in a place called Billinge. Half of the village was in St Helens and half in Wigan. I lived in the Saints half. Fkin hate Wiggin. COYW! 6-0.

Interesting – despite That Game, which was largely exorcised by Bobic, I don't mind the Tractors.

Of the possible plummeters I'd expect you to prefer Millwall down... but then, we'd have to play them again I suppose :D

Good speech. Who do I petition at this late stage to have four sides relegated? :D

'Despite That Game' - is there such a thing as 'despite that game I like them'? :D I don't think I'll ever forgive and forget that one ...

Looking at how to get there. Perusal of the official website on the Tickets tab then the "Official Travel Club" option, there's a suggestion of buses going to Wigan tomorrow at 12.45. (This seems to be in addition to the usual away travel coaches). Looks like they do it for the local games, but can't find any more info on this. Do you just turn up at the Reebok and catch the bus? Need to book in advance? Need to be in the travel club? Any info gratefully received.

That Game was more about the ref than the oppo.

I wouldn’t say I *like* Ipswich, I just don’t dislike them.

I've just worked out our match strategy for today. Taking into account the weather as a major factor, and a surface that might end up like the Zenit St Petersburg water polo match of days of magical yore, musical football and pass-the parcel stuff is out. Kick and rush in the style of junior school Moss Bank Park is the key to success over in Wiggin. Whack it forth, send the troops after it like a Black Friday rush at Sainsburys and you have it. You heard it here.... :oyea: :oyea:

I seem to recall Magilton was a c*nt that night too, and that it was Ipswich and that c*nt Sheepshanks who pushed for the away goals to be binned. Had that not happened, we'd have gone through at 3-3

It's how we've approached every match this season and not worked out too well!

Just about to set off. Not feeling terribly optimistic

Christ. Looks like 44fucking2.

Big big game to leave out Wheats Paw and Sammy.

Anything less than a win and we're down, surely.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.
