Will your away game at a Forest go ahead ?
Didn’t Swindon get demoted 2 divisions a while back
Could the players get paid and Bees game rescheduled for midweek ?
What a shambles !
I don't think there will be a team to play against.
I think this is the beginning of the end.

Not entirely sure we can rest this at the door of Deano. He helped buy the club and was turfed out by Anderson due to him forcing the sale of his shares. Hardly seems like the type to blame, just seems naive.

He was the trojan horse that brought the virus into the club. I doubt Eddie would have sold solely to Ken Anderson.

Apparently it was the EFL who called the game off.

The plot thickens. IF and this is a big IF but what if Bassini has stuck to his promise and transferred the relevant funds to pay the players and it transpires that the players have been paid before midnight.

Surely the EFL wanted to know before everybody went to bed tonight and not at a time when Cinderella runs home.

Christ this club gives me a headache at times.

We're in for some serious punishment for something that could have been averted by 1 man.

From what I can gather from soc med, Bassini was never in a position to pay the wages as he is not a director of the club.

I'd rather this all came to a head rather than be dragged out ad infinitum.

It's a good job Brentford and Forest are mid-table and their rersults don't affect those around them. The EFL won't call a game off if they don't have to - and as the situation is so (a) serious (b) avoidable and (c) not of their own making Bolton will be hit very hard - a massive points deduction next season or even demoted to the fourth.

Then season tickets won't sell - players on Championship contracts - nowhere to go other than administration (even more points docked) or liquidation. If the Brentford game doesn't get played, that's £'s of gate income down the drain too.

Game must go ahead according to EFL this morning.

It's Bassini's fault. Allegedly.

BBC are reporting that the EFL board has instructed Bolton to complete their fixtures. Easier said than done; the club seems to be closed for business, leaderless and out of funds. Time for Brett Warburton or Michael James to put some more money in to complete the season? How could this be done without going through Anderson or Bassini?

If you ask me it's all down to the bang average thread title!

Are you suggesting the title has caused the players to misbeehive? :D

I'm thinking, given the level of story telling going on at the moment, Tango should be reporting today on our 3-0 home win...

I agree. It's all Tango's fault.

It's nothing to do with Bassini's bumbling interview.

Was he like that when he owned the hornets?

I wonder how high/low we will feature in this league of shame ?
https://sports.vice.com/en_uk/article/k ... deductions

Swindon got booted down two divisions -- but were in administration and then a corporate IVA

I dread to think where we will end up

The lowest division with fully professional teams is National League North - we can look forwards to playing the likes of Chorley, Curzon Ashton, Altrincham ....

1/3 chance we wouldn't play one of those!

FC United gone down from that league. That would've been... Interesting!
