Just beggars belief. He does realise that by doing this he might actually kill the club?
Pfffft.

Feels a lot to me like Bassini is Anderson's useful idiot deployed at his whim...

Following the news relating to Bolton Wanderers, the EFL has released the following statement:

An EFL Spokesman said:

“We are aware of the terms of an Order granted earlier today in the High Court in Manchester in respect of Bolton Wanderers.

“The League is not a party to the proceedings and we are currently liaising with the Administrators of the Club to understand the full extent of any implications to the proposed transfer of assets.

“We are extremely frustrated by this late development with the deal so close to completion, and our focus must remain firmly on ensuring the long-term future of the football club.

“We will be making no further comment at this time.”

If Mr Bassini turns up anywhere near Bolton in the next few days he needs to be told in no uncertain terms that he is not welcome.

Which bit of Appletons statements are tripe?
Just asking because I'm wondering why an insolvency practitioner would jeopardise his career/reputation over what is still a relatively small (but very well known) business

Genuinely gobsmacked. Must have taken a spectacularly out of touch judge with no knowledge of football along with lawyers for Bassini who are at best thick as feck and at worst dishonest.

What is in it for Anderson if he is paying Bassini to do this?

Astonishing really. Just when it couldn’t get any more bizarre and chaotic. You’d have got long odds on this being the next stage in proceedings

The entire diatribe put out this afternoon...
His career was going down the pan once he'd put FV forward as preferred bidders knowing there was dodgy circularity in the background financing.
The cxnts have been leaking like sieves for weeks trying to play the media, but those in the know, knew they'd made a very dubious false step right at the very start of the process..

What's in it for either of them if the conspiracy theorists are correct?
Why, if they are such muckas, didn't Anderson sell to Bassini back in April/May?

The judge must have been won over by Bassinis statement in court

"Yeah, er right. Er yeah. Sir Dave Rich. Dave Sullivan. Prem in three years. Honest. Right"
"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"

Look, I was first on here to state that Bassini wasn't the way forward.
But, he did sign an actual agreement. It's called a contract. It has force in Law.
David Rubin & Partners knew this but dismissed it. David Rubin & Partners also knew that Football Ventures business plan didn't stack up. They chose a side. Unfortunately both sides were shite, but hey ho, DR & P pressed on thinking they could outbullshit Bassini. Today is the day unstoppable bullshit hits immovable bullshit. A lot of bystanders are going to get splattered...

I'm laughing so hard, I shat a little. The saying is "never give a mug a chance." They've fcuked about that long. I hear what Pru is saying about the bewigged one not being compus mentis, but presumably as Spots said, there is some paperwork Contract etc. that lent some credence to Bassini's argument...

I did float that idea with Burnden Paddock earlier. Is there the teeniest possibility that he does have access to squillions that he's happy to chuck at his latest hobby?

I’m not having that Bassini isn’t working with someone and has cooked this up between them. Are we really to believe that months after he claimed he owned us and then weeks and weeks after a threat of an injunction that he then denied that he suddenly decides to proceed today at random?

Doesn’t wash. And nobody can convince me otherwise. Question is, whether it’s Aldridge who introduced him to the club, or Ken who signed the deal with him.

But I’m convinced. It’s too ridiculous to be otherwise.
