No no no, first a S, then a hazza.
The full Brian Rix!
I do believe that scene has just been captured successfully. Not since 1994 when he did "Life in the Farce Lane" has anybody succeeded in outfarcing him.
Well done David Rubin & Partners.

Players have been paid, game is still on - I think that says there is little reason to be worried.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 3:25 pmAnd cut!Enoch wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 3:11 pmDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 2:51 pmjust as the vicar walks in through one door and the prostitute through the other?Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 2:35 pmis 10 reached when someone's trousers fall down?Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 2:28 pmOn a farce scale of 1 to 10 we are at Kenneth Williams. I think there is great deal to be worried about, including if this bunch of Shysters actually take us over, ever.

So? He's hung around for his money yet now he's got it won't play. What about the rest of his squad mates and the fans?

Gonna miss his goal threat. I reckon Parkinson will be livid as his game plan is out the window.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 3:47 pmSo? He's hung around for his money yet now he's got it won't play. What about the rest of his squad mates and the fans?

Despite the fact I disagree with him, not least because it will incentivise the fxcking EFL to give us more punishment points regarding the Brentford debacle, I think the bloke is entirely within his rights to stomp his fxcking feet...
Especially, note, as all the players were sat down this morning and lectured at about the 'difficulty' of the takeover. The takeover that hasn't taken over, built around a loan that hasn't been loaned, concentrating on news that players have been paid which is still just unconfirmed Bollox.

He's not taking a stand. He wants to go. So do others. There is no stand being made. Just another mercenary football trying to force his way out.

feck Magennis. He was wank last season anyway

Just need the pitch and grin.

Re: Administration and recovery
Like Worthy I've had plenty sympathy up to now but not on this.
I wouldn't even mind if he was still pushing for his move away after giving his notice but no excuse not to play in the meantime.
Does anyone know what the deal is with the walk away if you're not paid thing.
I'm not aware of any free-standing legal provision, so assume it must be an EFL rule. If so, what is it, that all contracts have to contain that clause (in which case I think we'd be pretty fecked) or like football creditors it's a condition of membership that we have to let them go (in which case it would be up to them to rule on).
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

A stand to me would mean standing up for a cause other than himself. Not just cos he wants to leave. Doesn’t care about the club or fans or his teammates. Just himself. To me that’s not principled just selfish.

Re: Administration and recovery
Is anyone able to shine any light on the reasons why the administrators have been able to hold onto player registrations, despite refusing to pay the players concerned? Shirley that's a restriction of trade and goes directly against the Bosman ruling from years ago?
It's looking that by close of play today, we might have new owners. Owners who have mortgaged the hotel (The club's only asset) taken a huge dividend each whilst putting a small percentage back into the club to pay interim running costs and who know nothing about football, whilst already incurring a huge debt to the PFA, having no operating capital of their own. What could possibly go wrong.....................

Look, he's a useless lump. But he's been fxcked about, relentlessly. No doubt this morning's pep talk would have gone down well in North Korea, but sometimes enough is fxcking enough.
