Chairboys v Choirboys; the Wanderers against some Wanderers. Wycombe (a). Sat 3 August - 3pm

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Brand contamination!

Anyone I got a tenner on us to win tomorrow at 12s. That seems worth a bet in almost any game of football.

I mean, I think we'll lose, but if we've managed to register a couple and only have to play the odd kid you never know!

Season about to start, panic fanny away, rose tinters on. Make a film title out of that!
Where the fxck did you get twelve to one?
And only a tenner???
I'd put £100 on at 12/1... This is Wycombefxckin' Wanderers we're talking about.
You can get 10 or better at pretty much every bookie at the moment.
Not in Matlock, two hours ago you couldn't.

I've heard there's a guy with a ecig putting hefty bets on BWFC in the Matlock area, dragging the odds

33/1 at SkyBet for a Bolton win and both teams to score!

The fxckers. I got 9-1 in Ladbrokes. Best price he assured me. Our Billy Hill shut down a little while back, nearest is eleven miles away in Bakewell.
You get fxcked every which way.

You think I'd trust meself with the ability to bet using a phone? Anywhere I want?
I promised the missus I'd only ever bet when I actually handed over the wedge, in non virtual format, so I could see it actually disappear into somebody else's greasy mitts, before hopefully returning back to its warm money nest in my back pocket.

If you ask them, they might still take cheques.

A milkman? How quaint!

Does the chimney sweep accept postal orders?

There's a milkman does the rounds still in the metropolis of Brangy! Not in a float mind, but he's still a milkman.

I have a milkman. He delivers milk in pint bottles (Peak Dairy). I have a local butcher (David Allsop) who slaughters his own cows. He's the milkman. I also have a chimney sweep - he sweeps chimneys. He's also my Central Heating engineer. Strangely enough he's also my qualified electrician and is certified for gas boiler repairs.
They both accept cash, and have been known to turn out on snowswept winter's evenings for the price of a pint behind the bar. Neither of them vape.
It's called country living. I recommend it. It's a dying lifestyle.

We have a milkman - float, glass bottles, the lot.

I don’t bet but I’m tempted. However, not for us to win while conceding. How many times has that happened under Parky?!

We have a milkman at work - semi skimmed in glass bottles with red foil lids.

A couple of months ago the farmer up the road here had his van nicked whilst out delivering at about 4 in the morning.

I think he took a whack in the chops for his trouble, too.

I feel for him but I’m chuckling at the idea of a getaway milkfloat.

I'll be there tomorrow - even if the senior team isn't... Any plans for a TW meet?

Iles: “Told Connor Hall has an injury - so five senior players on board the team bus today, two of whom are keepers. No confirmed takeover (as I type this) leaves Earl, Weir and Brockbank out of the equation.
Must surely be the most bizarre fixture in 145 years of #bwfc history?”
