Superb cross in by Emmanuelle, Verlinden on the end of it unmarked, blazes it over the bar.

Well that's the best first half of footy I've seen us play in about 4 years!

Crawford brings the half to an end with a shot well over the bar.

What a difference.

If this is the football we are going to be playing for the rest of the season then feck me more please!

Striker on the pitch and we are 3 nil up.

This team is going to tire in the 2nd half. That 1st half of football has been what we have missed for an absolute age.

One touch football with pace. Absolute joy to see.

Stoke must have some bloody good players if they can let Verlinden out on loan. For a spell there he favvered a reincarnation of Garrincha!

Very enjoyable half , oxford not really in it imho. Wish I hadn't left my coat in the car and this is supposed to be a warm ish night.
Anyway some excellent wide play when we get a striker in the middle it will make a world of difference.
People haven't got a good word for you, but i have T**T.

They'll be reassessing their tactics (and probably getting a bollocking) during the interval, so hope K.H has a second half battle plan. Internet Carr's pasties all round if we do this.

The fans were particularly displeased to see him let out especially given their plight in the Championship.

No changes to the sides and Bolton start the 2nd half kicking towards the North stand.
Oxford with the early threat, cross from the right that goes out and comes back into play.

Slow start to the half from both sides.

Really high line being played by Bolton, Hobbs is on the half way line with a ball up the right wing. Comes to nothing.

Oxford playing the better at the start of this half. Better passing. Wright with a good interception as the ball goes out of play for a throw in. Bolton with the interception and a long ball through to Buckley who was offside.

Oxford with a ball in from the right headed towards goal, really good save by Matthews, out for a corner. Comes to nothing as we are fouled on the break. Free kick goes through to the Oxford keeper.

Hobbs receives the 1st yellow card as he brings down the attacker on the edge of the box.

Free kick to Oxford in a dangerous area.

Free kick hits the wall and rebounds back to Brannagan who hits it through to Matthews.
