Verlinden and Politic have swapped wings. Verlinden getting some success but the balls into the box have been wanting.

Jason Lowe is a man possessed. He seems to really be enjoying the free role in the 4 in the middle.

Late fluffy of attacks by Bolton at the end of the half, the balls into the area have been poor.

Half time.

Decent half, I think Crawford will be given a talking to. Too many back heal passes with no end product.

The team as a whole has defended well and attacked as a unit. A little too much space for Sunderland when they were attacking however players realised and were quick to close down.

Hill has realised that Sunderlands left back isn't the best and threw Verlinden on that wing. He's getting a lot off success, just needs to find that ball into the front 2.

The expectations of both fans was quite telling at half time. The whites cheered off with gusto. Sunderland off to silence.

Get in Jack fooking Hobbs!

The word in Crawford's ear has been heard. He delivers a cross over to the back post which is headed back across goal by Buckly, Hobbs at the back post knocks it in with his left peg.

Matthews with a really great unintentional save on the line there.

Sunderland hit the post and it rebounds onto his right hand and out to the Sunderland man who hits it wide.

Adam Chicksen takes one for the team, Sunderland on the break with plenty of numbers up from a Bolton corner, out on the right he goes through the Sunderland man to pick up Bolton's first yellow card of the game.

Sunderland allowing us to attack and playing on the break, they have almost have a one on one, a last ditch tackle from Wright sees the ball out for a corner.

Verlinden getting a lot of joy down the left without an end product.

Sunderland get the ball back through a tackle on Bridcutt, looked like a foul, ball breaks to the right, Sunderland shoot wide.

Sunderland on top since we scored the goal. Matthews with a few hair raising kicks out from the back.

Still 1-0.

Bolton playing it long a little too much. Ball is just constantly coming back.

Verlinden with smart play down the right finds his way into the box, attempts to cross it and it's deflected out for a.... you guessed it a goal kick.

Unreal.
Like at Rotherham (at 1-2) when his shot was pushed round the post by the keeper's foot. Even the home players were lining up for a corner. Goal kick. Think we had one midweek too.

Again, same at Rotherham - I noted on here how we may have only seen part of his game if he was never allowed over half-way.

Wright down injured, looks like Zouma may be coming on.

17 minutes + injury time remaining.
