The Dons visit the University...V Milton Keynes Home. 3-0'clock 15-11-2019
Bit of a rushed title but, since naught else was forthcoming...Hope we can give them a lesson... Womble on folks...

Well I hope the lads today put a better performance in than I did on that! I was at that game as well! Only got 1 defender and none of the subs! A pitiful 7.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 10:46 amNow the thread's up, you can have the quiz:

As for today - with a full strength side I'd fancy our chances of a comfortable win. As it is a 1-1 draw.

Liam's return is potentially great news but given Hill's proclamation that we had fresh injury concerns, I worried that either Bridcutt or Lowe would be in the back line... until I saw Josh Earl. Looks to me like Emmanuel-Wright-Earl-Chicksen, with Luke Murphy joining the other two in midfield and the now-usual three up front. Notable perhaps that Verlinden is only on the bench (all together now: "impact sub!") with Politic; also that Zouma is available but makes was for two centre-backs who aren't contracted beyond January.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 2:17 pmBridcutt's back.

Sounds like we're up for it so far. Have to start turning half-chances into full. At least we seem to know where the nets are.

45 minute game then. We sounded to really be pressing there. I think it's because I forgot to say " COME ON YOU WHITES" there, done it....bound to score now....

We sort of are but it mostly feels flat. They had a great chance to score and should've done but they're not a good team and are there to be beaten if we go for it.
We've done well with our build up play but we're not as effective as we need to be in the final third. Hopefully, the second half will be an improvement.

They're playing with ten men now. Williams sent off for a foul on Verlinden.

Nicholls sounds like M.O.T.M for them so far?

Seems like they're having the better of it since the sending off.

At last. Playing 10 men, miss a pen and score in injury time.Matthewws saves at the death. You couldn't make it up.... Who cares, three points nearer....

whoop whoop! - a (near) last minute injury time winner, feels like it's been a while since one a them.

Well now.
Positive points - for now at least.
Also worth noting that of the six sides immediately above us, all four who are playing today have lost or are losing.
EDIT they all lost:
* Southend, now just four points above us (having played three more), didn't play
* MK Dons are next and are now just 12 points above us (three games more)
* Real Dons lost 2-0 at Blackpool - also now 12pts above us with three games more
* Accy lost 1-0 at Rotherham - 14pts above us, 3 more games
* Tranmere (15pts clear, one game more) play tomorrow v second-placed Wycombe
* then Lincoln (17pts clear, three games more) lost 1-0 at Gillingham. Yes, they're way clear of us but in the 10 league games since the Cowleys left they've gone LDLLWLDLDL - 0.6ppg, leaving them on course for a 36-point total.
It's on. Many things can and many of them will be unpleasant. But it's on.

Well that were 90 minutes of mistakes and tedium until that brilliant Murphy combination.
Only Chicksen (motm) played well over both halves and the introduction of Verlinden gave the team and the crowd a lift.
Nothing like a late winner to make your weekend
