Gonna say D. Murphy has been poor today

Nearly a goal for Bolton there, O'Grady clear on the left fires over the bar.

Leaving too much space for Coventry to attack.
Game over,
2-1 Coventry.
Cnuts. Poor defending again.

He's suddenly remembered he got that squad he wanted.

That’s payback for last time I guess, Clayton injury time equaliser

Typical of a poor side, on the front foot and we concede.

Humbug. Methods to lose No37: the late sickener when you've fought back to parity.
Surprised ol' Squad Boy didn't make changes sooner.

Losing late on to a team who played 180 minutes midweek doesn’t bode well
Re: They nicked our elephant....V Coventry away, 08-02-2020
Tranmere are genuinely atrocious. Beating them was nice, but tells you nothing about the rest of the season.
Would be nice to go down with some hope for next season, a toughness, some organisation, togetherness, whatever.
No chance, we're going down in disarray and disgrace.

And I'm not having any hard luck story about late goals. Sounds like 2-1 flattered us.

For 25 minutes in the 2nd half we were the better side and looked most likely to nick it. The excellent O'Grady skying a great chance to win it.
You cant start a game though like we did today and expect to get anything out of it. Too many players were off the pace today.

Watched it on iFollow. First half Coventry showed that they were a team in the playoff position. Snappy short passing, running, high pressing. We struggled to get anywhere near them. Seemed like they had players running at us from every angle. We gave away a sloppy goal after moving the ball upfield with good possession, D. Murphy gave it away carelessly and Nsiala lost his man ball watching.
We fought back and matched them in the second half, to equalize after excellent work by O'Grady and expert finish from Politic who I thought was the one who could have made the difference with his sublime skills, but unfortunately, we just could not get him on the ball. Seem to be playing more central today than wide. The ball unfortunately fell kindly for their second.
Can't fault the players who really put in a shift. For me Matthews, Bryan, Lowe and Fleming ( in the 2nd Half especially ) has really good games. Man of the Match for me was O'Grady. Very strong on the ball and caused them problems.

Sounds like we had chances to take the lead at 1-1, so to go away with nothing is a real shitter, especially given results elsewhere meant we could have gained on our relegation rivals. Ah well, 3 points tomorrow night would set everything right again.
