Can he make good use of the things that he finds? Luke Murphy would suggest not

That first half was bloody terrible. That Bolton team has to be the worst I have ever witnessed, and believe me there have been many.
I know I have shouted to keep Hill in for next season but I have many doubts. This crop of players would struggle big time in the bottom league.
Before the (" we're lucky to have a team, el al" begin the chirp up, seriously this isn't good enough regardless.
I ain't watching this second half because that performance was shocking. This wont get anyone excited to buy a season ticket next season, I'm one for sure. **** off Hill and don't come back.

Blimey. This is poor. I watch National League ("Conference") football fairly regularly. This would be a below average quality game in that league. Honestly, I'm not exaggerating.

+1

If you want to see a team that believe there is no hope then watch the 2nd half.

Two teams trying but extremely poor.

Another half of football without a shot on target.

Wimbledon have a goal disallowed for offside. Dodoo obviously knew this as he let the man run beyond him to head it in.

There’s not much between conference and L2 IMO. Genuinely nervous the longer this wazock is in charge we will end up with your York’s and Hartlepools.

Dreadful game of football again.

Didn't concede because Wimbledon are as bad as us.

So I'm guessing the second half was as bad as the first.
I doubt that FV will be impressed and hope for a reaction from them sooner than later. This is not good, and Bolton fans deserve better than this. I expect FV to make a management change sooner than later. Hill had failed in my opinion and he will not improve. Time for someone else to take charge before this season ends.

They had one effort on target, but that’s one more than us. We now seem as toothless as ever we were under Parky, but without the balancing defensive rigidity. Yes, another point(less point) but also another blank - that’s one goal in five games now, against opponents including three of the seven worst in the division - a four-word phrase that fits us ever better.

Feels ever more like FV would be taking a tremendous leap of faith to keep Hillcroft on.

Can't score goals and don't even look like scoring. It's been a problem for years.

So, a good turn out from the forum today! And I was shown a photo of Bruce (whom I've never met): didn't realise George Clooney was a wanderer. :D

But, the football was terrible, although, strangely, I'm inclined not to blame Hillcroft. If all you have are players who can't pass, control a ball, beat a man etc, then having a system, formation or plan A, B or C is pretty pointless. Everything that happened on the pitch today was a self-contained incident over which a manager could have little or no influence.
