Growing a pair at the UniBol. Man(up)sfield at home. Tuesday 3rd Nov 7pm.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

When was the last time we had a shot on target?

And I don't just mean tonight.

We're playing for free kicks.

We get one. Crawford crosses straight to their keeper.

Sadly can't see this getting any better real soon. Got the feel of Dougie Freedman about it
Freedman won a lot more games. Never looked close to this bad. I can’t compare this to anyone. It’s beyond anything I’ve seen.
Also managed more I meant the confidence in one's ability without delivering.

More towards the end of his tenure.

We had one first half, officially. Three against Bradford.

In 25 minutes of this half, we've had no attempts on goal.
30 minutes

Four shots on goal over the course of three matches (probably).

Jeez.

Summed us up that Sarce run. Great ball to find him and he runs at the defence, no bugger overlaps him on the left. Easy of Mansfield to defend and we feck it up.

Useless.

Indeed. The system has failed. The wing backs aren’t good enough.

On target, aye. 47 in the last four matches, six on target.

For me he’s the epitome of what has gone wrong with recruitment. They’ve gone - he’s fit, fast, left footed and ignored the fact he’s got as much football nous as the bloke selling programmes. It’s no wonder he played two levels below this last season. Like DSB says, he passes the ball and stands still. No fecking idea about running in to space.

No threat at all.

Mansfield must be loving this.

P.S. get that cretin off free kick duty. He's wank.

And that's where you need coaching.

Recruitment was always going to be hit and miss with freebies and no-fee loanees; it's been a lot more miss than hit. But all players are improvable with good coaching, and sadly it looks like there's just not enough of it.

Phoenix has to go for me. Why he was given the job in the first place is a mystery.
