Evatt interview with Iles today mentioning Maddison and Dapo as two out of contract in the summer so "with a view to".

While trying to figure out where will we play Maddison, I found this article about him very interesting when he was about to join Charlton. A good read.

Interesting read, thanks ICB. Obviously clipreels are by their nature slective but if he and Doyle can get on the same wavelength we might be in whatever the opposite of Dicky's Meadow isirie Cee Bee wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 1:13 pmWhile trying to figure out where will we play Maddison, I found this article about him very interesting when he was about to join Charlton. Mascoll shipped off to Irish side Waterford on loan, if the URL is a bit too unclear.

Might as well, he's deregistered here. Assuming we're not taking up the option of a year's extension, that'll take him to the end of his contract – the end of an error, a will-this-do signing after the failure to get McFadzean, about which I hear Evatt was hopping mad.

The straw that broke the phoenixs back? Where did McFadzean end up then? Can’t imagine he’s better than Declan John...

I doubt there's a better left-back in this league than Declan John, but I dare say that McFadzean, who'd just been promoted with Sarce's Plymouth playing left-wingback, was on a free and wanted to move back north, would have been a cut above Gordon, Mascoll, Jones and Brocky on the left. Basically we were hobbled on one side for half a season, and while there are other reasons for that horribly disappointing six months, it certainly can't help.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 8:31 pmThe straw that broke the phoenixs back? New deal for Santos is close according to Iles per Evatt. Happy with that. Quickly becoming my new favourite player. What a turnaround.

You won't ever have the best player in every position. Lets not forget Gordon was an Evatt pick....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:01 amI doubt there's a better left-back in this league than Declan John, but I dare say that McFadzean, who'd just been promoted with Sarce's Plymouth playing left-wingback, was on a free and wanted to move back north, would have been a cut above Gordon, Mascoll, Jones and Brocky on the left. Phoenix or anyone in that role has a hard task as they are beholden to the board's need to keep finances in order whilst trying to supply their manager with the tools they want. I do like the DoF role but it probably needs very careful thought and the right person to act across the two levels and priorities.

Tremendous news. Easily our most valuable asset, and a new deal reduces the risk of losing him on the cheap in the summer.

Phoenix was an Agents fvck buddy. I don’t think the shit players he signed were anything to do with the board being cheap.

Joel Lynch somewhat surprised not to have been signed.

I wouldn't expect my 4 year old son to be that blazé about job hunting!! Pick up the bastarding phone, make it look like it's the one thing in the world that you want the most and hey presto, you just moved up the line

One that people may have missed. Like Mascoll, Hickman's contract is up this summer, so I doubt we'll be seeing him in a white shirt next season.

Shame. Thought he had something and was underused. Having said that would he get in the team now?

Like Mascoll, we have a year's extension option; unlike Mascoll, I think there's a chance we'll take it - but like you I'd hardly be astonished if not.brommers95 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 3:15 pmOne that people may have missed.
