Dare I say this formation is giving us nothing going forward?

HT, 0-0. I must have been to a worse game of football, surely, but I can't recall it just now.

This worries me, aye. We need to be better in the final third, whatever formation we play. We haven't had much penetration and even on the odd occasions we got there we looked like we didn't quite know what to do.

Didn't mind that. Pitch is dreadful making it tough. But we've had a lot of half moments, and they've had a few too.

Though if I was in charge of set pieces I'd tell them to just roll it out for a throw in and box them in.

If we can get the ball on the deck in the final third we look reasonable, will get better I think. Notably playing low crosses in the box which plays to our strengths. But when we’ve gone long from the back it’s straight back at us faster. They will feel like they should have scored when their lad went round Gilkes and that would be hard to argue. Can’t see it finishing 0-0

I think the cheltenham first half was worse, though there was the Greenidge comedy turn in that one. Anyone think he would be playing if he wasn’t sispended?

It's a new formation for them. Should take about 3 months to bed in... ;-)

Is it the illusive 4-3-3? or 4-5-1?

0-0 at half. No problems. We seem harder to penetrate with this 4-3-3 formation. Safety first at the moment. Not a lot of quality on show but who cares if we can nick one in the 2nd Half.

I'd call it 4-3-3. Tutte behind Sarce and Lee, Isgrove wide right Delf wide left. Overlapping fullbacks might help.

Some promise there. Lee and Tutte look good, with Sarce possibly letting the trio down a bit.

Hoping for £9.50 entertainment in the second half.

Aye, the full backs have offered jack. Felt sorry for Jones at the end of that half then though he had no support on his rare foray forward. Brockbank isn’t a modern day overlapping full back.

Add Kioso and (if he's as good as we expect) John and it feels different. But hey ho.

Must be good as we've not seen Insano on here yet.

Imagine having driven there. It was on the list for me and The Legendary Flanners. In fact, that daft sod's probably there on a press pass.
