That's now. Win tonight, maintain some vague hope. Now it doesn't matter. I'm fecking furious and it's the manager's fault.
I'm not having any more 'what if such a player does X Y Z' excuses. A proper manager sees that out. He's a clueless amateur. Absolutely confirmed for me tonight that he doesn't have the know how to get results.

Ps. And that Elbouzedi can feck off as well.
To me given they had or were about to stick 4 subs on to bombard us you bring whatever big lump centre half on or at the very least Tutte for Delfouneso. Elbo was a daft decision hoping he was going to nick one on the break.

And here he is, straight onto Twitter to tell us he is innocent. I agree pal but be best advised to put the phone down...

I think we'll struggle to get it overturned on that footage.

Although I assume the club's footage is of a higher quality than 240p.

Doesn't look a red at all based on the above.

He'll play on Saturday. With a point to prove
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I'm not sure he doesn't actually just go straight through onto their player's right leg after their player gets their first with his left leg.

That footage is too shite to tell, but to me it looks like Maddison wins the ball with his toe before any contact is made.

IMO we are a good big commanding goalkeeper & a strong 'leader type' centre back short of being a decent team and getting out of this league next season.

I'm as critical as anyone, but tonight I could honestly see signs of how Evatt wants us to play, we had a 10 minute spell tonight were the football we played was excellent, passing & moving at pace the best in many a year, same with our goal - speed & intensity, we just need to play like that for longer periods. If we can somehow sign Dapo, Maddison, John for next season and have a good look at Jensen in goal (and sign Lynch as CB), along with the likes of Williams, Lee, Doyle, Fonz, Sarce etc. That's some team for League 2.

With the salary cap being scrapped today, we may be able to now sign these players in the summer & push on next season.

Gotta say Bertie, I think I missed the 10 minutes you're on about. I thought both teams were pretty disjointed for the most part, we scored a good goal and did nowt much besides. They did even less until the sending off.

I think we looked exciting for the 12 minutes Maddison and Afolayan were on the field together.

Just after he made the subs and just before MM got sent off - personally I thought for 10 mins the football was excellent, we moved & passed the ball really well.

I wasn't impressed with Morecambe but they did have a few decent chances before scoring, but they are a lot more street wise than us and they know how to con the absolutely appalling inept referees in this league by cheating & diving.

My problem Bertie (or one of them 😁) is that 10 minute thing. Even if it becomes 80 minutes, we could concede 2 or 3 in the other 10 because Evatt has this purist bullshit thing going on. I've written him off now. The Elbouzedi sub and the set piece goal has done it for me. I was nearly there anyway, but this is 100 %.

We had a few dribbles from Dapo, some hit and miss stuff from Madision and a decent combo between the two. Couple of signs there but it still looked disjointed to me. If Maddison hadn't been built up, I'd have probably described his 12 minutes as fairly average. I'm hopeful longer term though.

He's been unlucky tonight, but built up.far too much. I'm unimpressed by the signing. Thought Williams was what we needed, but he wasn't very good at first glance, bit bad either though. The west ham lad looks promising.

I agree LE we always look like conceding, we are not strong enough at the back hence my point about being a decent big keeper & strong CB short of being a decent team - our defending at set pieces is piss poor and we still lack leaders on the pitch especially in defence.

I've been very critical of Evatt and I do still think that he's quite a naïve manager, but I've always said that I like his openness & honesty(despite him being a bull shitter, which he is) - but I honestly saw signs tonight of what we could do if we give him next season, its the most positive I've been for a good few months, that 10-12 minute spell tonight in the 2nd half was really good & exciting to watch and I can't recall the last time I could say that.

See I thought that Williams played well.

Maddison didn’t look match sharp and if he now misses 3 games it doesn’t look great. Having said that if I were Evatt and had the opportunity to sign him on deadline day would I have done? Yes.

Oddest thing about the signings to me was that they all look left footed! Elbo, Dapo, Maddison and Arthur all left footed?

I think I agree with this. We were certainly the more threatening and I think we had them worried, but it didn't in my opinion reach the heights of the standard claimed of it. It had a similar feel to when someone's older brother and his mates used to join in the kick about.

Dapo's definitely right footed.

Yup. West Ham lad looked like he can do a bit. Not going to rush to judgement, like most I was looking forwards to seeing them. Not sure, like you, William's > Tutte.
