According to BWFC Analysis on Twitter - https://twitter.com/analysis_bwfc?lang=en Morecambe are a 'well-organised, hard-working, physical team' who don't mind conceding the majority of possession to their opponents and favour lumping it up top to their target man.

Sounds like it could be a tough night for Santos and whoever he's partnered with (I suppose Baptiste). I recall that Santos didn't show up too well against physical forwards a few times during his mini-wobble, so that's a bit of a concern.

Further forward Kieran Lee isn't available due to him having to self-isolate. His absence is a blow and leaves us quite short in the centre of the park when coupled with Sarce's injury. Michael Jordan is very likely to start, perhaps with Tutte playing a bit further forward and Maddison in the most advanced central position.

Up front I think both Isgrove and Arthur would be unlucky to lose their starting places, but Dapo will likely be in contention and Delfouneso might be considered for his experience and extra physicality.

If Lee was available I would be predicting a win, but as is I'm going to go 1-1.

I'm going to predict a win, because if we can't build on last game's impressive showing then we're domed ah tell thee.

Sound like that they are the kind of team who would do well against us at home to be honest. Hopefully the change in shape and personnel do the job.

On the plus side they have lost a key man and we’ve made some decent additions since the date the game was originally due to be played. Could of done with a bedding in game on Saturday though. Can see it being a struggle to be honest - hope we have enough fit and ready to go.

Lee is a big miss - he’s also the last player you want away from the training ground given his injury history. MJ and either Tutte or Thomason to start with him I guess. See which of the new lads get the nod up front.

I think Lee might appear. Not sure when the isolation ends or if Evatt's telling little fibs to throw off the mole.

New signings, a well rested squad all raring to go, optimism amongst many fans;

0-2 defeat
"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"

I've got the same feeling for this game as I did leading up to the first game of the season. Excitement and genuine optimism, really feels like the beginning of the second half of the season, with the first half being a practice run for our imminent 21-game winning streak :D

3-1 Wanderers

Evatt says Lee should be back Saturday - but you might counter "Well he would say that"

Without Lee, and with Sarce still injured, we feel a little undermanned in central midfield again. I guess Tutte and MJ could be the "2" in the 4231 – and for the record, unlike say away at Salford, I *would* flip the central midfield triangle because against a deep-lying team I think a 4231 might be better than a 433 (or, erm, 41221). In that 3 behind Doyler, perm any three from Maddison, Arthur, Fonz, Isgrove, Dapo and Elbo (and expect rotation there via substitutes).

But while those may be ephemeral changes – I'd expect rotation game-on-game among the midfield 5, however they're deployed – tonight's XI might display some longer-term decisions. Does Jensen replace Gilks? And just in front of the keeper, does Evatt trust the limited-but-willing Delaney or the classier-but-erratic Baptiste?

It has the feel of us being totally set up for a fall doesn’t it? All the usual Twitter nobheads giving it the biggun about tin pot clubs and being too big for this league. One of the smallest clubs we’ll face in a league fixture, relatively local with players who will be up for it and look handy how they are set up. All the pre match confidence wiped out in fifteen minutes as we find ourselves 2-0 down from 2 corners...

Oh and to answer one of DSBs questions I would be surprised if Baptiste was dropped even though this feels more like a game for the more physical Delaney (who was outmuscled by a midget recently).

It is said never change a winning side...., unless that is, you are Pep! Lots of new players but they will need time to Gel. Maddison for Isgrove or Delf, and MJ for Lee the only changes for me. Will we be able to break the Iron Curtain expected by Morecombe? With the shooting power of Maddison from outside the area, I expect so.

Since I gave him 6 games, he's failed to beat Salford, Mansfield (twice) and got 1 win against Orient. Someone will come forward and defend this shit, I'm sure.

2-1 Wanderers with some people I don't know, scoring.

When was the last time Maddison started a game? Vaguely recall him recovering from an injury before signing for us? Can see him being on the bench.

The 19th December, a 2-2 v Swindon

He hasn't played an awful lot of football this season, just the 538 minutes according to transfermarkt.co.uk

6 starts, 4 sub appearances

With all the talk of fixture congestion leading to fatigue, surely the above should be a benefit for us during the run in?

From what I've read about Madison his career is in a downward spiral and he's been living off an impressive spell at Peterborough for sometime. He left there on a Bosman, a short stay at Hull where he left a poor impression on the locals, followed by Charlton, where Bowyer took a punt and failed, on trying to revive his Posh form.

Of course, this is the market we're shopping in but based on recent evidence, I suspect Elbouzadi (?) may leave a bigger impression on BL6 than Madison does. Hope I'm wrong.

HG I think that you will be pleasantly surprised by Maddison, he is a very talented quality player & its a good few years that we have had someone of his quality at BWFC. Personally I think he needs the right sort of manager to maybe massage his ego to get the best out of him, and I'm really hoping that its Evatt because Maddison is by some distance the most talented player in League 2.
