The Bantams wait: Bradford (A) 6/3/21, 3pm KO
The two form teams in the division face off tomorrow in what promises to be a game of League Two football. A look at the scorelines suggest both teams have hardly been blowing the doors off their opponents despite stacking up the Ws, but both will equally be looking to take the three points to their respective sides of the Pennines. I fancy a score draw, which won't anger anyone but will satisfy no-one, I wager.

Feels like this is going to be a pivotal game in our season. Win here, against an in form side and one of the biggest clubs in the division would be a real statement. I've been pessimistic about our promotion and play off chances but 3pts tomorrow and I'll start to believe.
A loss wouldn't be disastrous but would certainly temper expectations for the rest of the season.
However, I too, think it'll be a draw. 0-0 or 1-1

Re: The Bantams wait: Bradford (A) 6/3/21, 3pm KO
First game against them, they were better team, both halves, second game, we took the first 45, they were better in second 45...all we need to do is be better in both halves!
We've had a few clean sheets, but I could see Bradford scoring, so I'm going for 1-1.
Feels like a strange game, in the sense that this and Cambridge on Tuesday, both feel like they're "6 pointers" with potential consequences. Bit more of a tingle of anticipation...

Can’t believe Scott Sellars lad is their boss! How old am I!
Smart moneys on a draw but I think this could be a win either way, don’t see either side settling for a point. COYWM!

Ah come on lads, you're all going for a draw?!
We should have plenty in the tank after Tuesday's stroll, and we've still got plenty of improvement to come generally. I don't think I'd favour any team in the league over us right now, so I'm going 1-3 Bolton.

In fairness, dibs has gone for every possible result other than a draw.

Big game. Biggest of Evatt's reign thus far, perhaps, assuming that he was never "one game from the sack". I hope it leads to much bigger games to come, starting on Tuesday.

Is this our biggest game since that Forest game? Seems ages since we’ve had a big game that was actually likely to matter. I’ve almost forgotten what being a bit nervous before a game feels like.

Always a factor that a game of almost Cup Final magnitude like this one might turn out a flop as entertainment.(Not that I'll worry about that particularly as long as the result is no worse than a draw, although we really need to win this to haul ourselves upwards.) A lot rests on both teams and in better times may well be a sell-out, which as is, nullifies the home advantage somewhat. and both will be doing a fair amount of video watching, I'll be bound. Chances might be few so it's critical we take them if they come. I'd be spending some time on shooting practise for the same reason. All said, we have to believe we're capable of beating any team in this league, so......COME ON YOU WHITES....

I’ve changed my mind about four times today alone. But I reckon someone’s going to win it! Lancashire v Yorkshire, Pie v pudding, Good v Evil, COYWM! Nice to be excited about a game for the right reasons...

The titans of Bolton take on the giants of Bradford, making them both seem normal sized.

I strongly suspect we will go with a tighter defensive formation by attempting to control midfield with an extra man in there.
We will then hit them on the break twice for a magnificent morale boosting two nil victory.

Re: The Bantams wait: Bradford (A) 6/3/21, 3pm KO
I'm just wondering which manager is most worried about this one and what their game plan is? A Bradford win will still leave them one point behind us, whereas losing will make that seven, and a win for us is dependent on those above us not getting further ahead to count. Three teams below us; Salford Newport and Exeter are breathing down our necks. It's all very tight right now and the hunters can petty soon become the hunted. I'm betting neither manager will sleep easily tonight.

This is where we hit our stride. 3-1 win ( late consolation for them).
As an.aside, was doing a form.time activity about heroes the other day, Pele was one. I said ' many consider him the greatest, others might say Messi, Ronaldo, ..' and a kid piped up without missing a beat 'Clayton Donaldson'. (I teach in Bradford).
I'm assuming from their recent form that he hasn't been playing.

Yup, their "one defeat in 14" run coincides with Clayton dropping to the bench.

Unchanged starting XI for me, but with Dapo and Fonz switching sides.
Gilks
Jones Santos Baptiste John
Lee Williams
Sarce
Dapo Doyle Fonz
1-3, Doyle and Dapo x2
The red rose triumphs once again.

I'm having an anxiety attack at all these 3-1's...

Nowt to be anxious about Worthy, we’re an unstoppable winning machine.
Also two of those 3-1s were me.
