Nice to see that the ref isn't having any of the play diving then from Asanti.

Gotta say this has been an entertaining game, quite nervy though. Salford's pressing has been very impressive, be interesting to see how much fatigue plays a part here.

Lucky there. Great ball in by Salford, punted over the bar.
Aye but if that's the measure, they've been lucky three or four times.
I mean we were lucky.

Hmm. Dapo does well to win the ball and is through on goal but the ref blows up for a foul. Nonsense.

On one occasion. And by that measure they've been lucky on four or five now (adding this decision against Dapo)

Should've had goals in this from both sides. Dapo's disallowed goal and plenty of efforts from them.

Salford strengthening as HT approaches. But then we break and should score, they counter and MJ's yellowed for a sliding tackle.

This commentator isn't very good.

He just had Nottingham Forest legend Jason Lee on the field then.

On another note, I think this referee is going to send someone off today.

Good half all told. Salford ended well but we had more of the chances and the danger IMO. Worried that MJ might get a second yellow from this fusspot of a whistler.

Great first half.

Did think at one point we weren't going to get the goal, glad we did.

Got a bit scrappy towards the end of the half. Really need to be switched on from the start of the second half as they picked their game up towards the end of the first.

Nothing wrong with the MJ Williams booking. Great clearance and did it falling over. Disgraceful decision to book him for that.

Add to that i've just watched the Dapo disallowed goal again. It's harsh but i've seen them given both ways.

Probably not a popular opinion but Jones is a better full back then John. He just is, forward and back.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I certainly think John is better than Jones but recently there has not much in it.

Nicer to have these comparisons as "who's better" than "who's worse".

Decent 1st half & we should be more than one goal up, all of these easy chances that Doyle keeps missing could prove costly, he can't keep missing easy chances like that as good as his record is.

We need a 2nd goal early in the 2nd half as I fear that Salford will get one as they got better as the half went on, but this ref is as bad as we've had and we have had a few bad ones, we can't afford a sending off and it looks like the ref is just itching to penalise us for almost anything.

43% possession. Headed clearances: we've made 15, they've made 1...
