I think he's just arranged for your car to get serviced so you can't attend, Tony

I’m being prevented from going to this one owing to having a three week old baby, but it’s a lovely day for a jaunt to Wimbledon and I’m very envious of everyone with tickets. Ah well, pissing about with vpns it is.
Still quite a lot of uncertainties around our best lineup, but I’ll go:
Gilks
Jones Santos Johnston John
MJ Sheehan
Sarce
Baka Doyle Dapo

On our way and hoping to see a better game today with Burnden paddock then I watched last night. I’m sure your defending will be far better then Arsenals. Not hard to be fair. Got the Wombles theme tune in my head thanks to Bruce.

Followung on from DSB's post in the Burnley match thread re. Evatt's selection dilemmas:
Dixon (clean sheet, pen save) pressuring Gilks.
Two centre-backs from three.
John back in for Gordon but Flash will feel good.
Lee/Sheehan - as above.
111Delf and Isgrove possibly not done enough to dislodge Dapo/Baka but we’ll see
1. I'm thinking he'll go with Gilks (it would be strange for him to defend him so robustly in midweek then drop him, and Gilks' and Dixon's repective squad numbers suggest both have been informed of the intended pecking order)
2. My sneaking suspicion is that he might drop the impressive Johnston in favour of the tried and tested partnership of Santos and Baptiste, and in anticipation of an aerial bombardment from today's opponents
3. John unless he's not match fit
4. Sheehan
5. Dapo right, Baka left, with Doyle central
Prediction: Us to win by a goal

All this talk of aerial bombardment- do this current Wimbledon side play that way or are we just assuming it's in the clubs DNA?
I'd be surprised to see Santos start because he's not fully fit yet but if they are real hoof merchants it could make sense.
Any road, we'll shit em!

I honestly can't claim to know very much about them at all, but it seems to be the consensus among peoole who claim to (I know it's not the most reliable of scouting methods, but it's all I've got).

Make sure to do a proper warm up, we haven't had to use them for a while.

Re: Plough on: AFC Wimbledon (A), Sat 14 Aug @ 3pm
Not so much an aerial bombardment as a physical battle.
Evatt: “Wimbledon have started well and had two good away victories, they play numerous systems but the philosophy stays the same and it will be a battle. We are going to have to make sure we do the basics, win our duels, compete, win first and second balls, and then after that implement our style and the way we do things.
Santos: “I think they will be a different challenge to MK, more direct. Our defence and midfield with MJ in there can deal with that. It’s a game where I think we will have more possession and we’ll be going down there to dominate and win the game.”
Iles: Wanderers are preparing themselves for a physical encounter at Plough Lane akin to some of the tougher challenges they faced in League Two.
Evatt: “For that reason alone, League Two was a huge benefit last season. We are used to having to roll up our sleeves and battle, grind away. You can think of Cheltenham, Southend, Mansfield, we have had to get dirty in all of them. Our group can fight, there is more than one string to the bow. We are not just an attractive team who try to dominate possession, if we need to fight, we can. Hopefully we can do both on Saturday.”

Dixon starts, Johnston dropped (or "rotated"), the rest as expected.

Dixon; Jones, Santos, Baptiste, John; Williams, Sheehan, Sarce; Bakayoko, Doyle, Dapo
Subs: Gilks, Brockbank, Johnston, Lee, Thomason*, Isgrove, Kachunga
*Although the official tweet calls him George Johnston again, the number 25 indicates Tomo
