Decent set-piece routine - Izzy short diagonal to Tutte on the edge, curled cross to Baptiste at back post but he can't turn the header home

I’d be very disappointed if we don’t win this match based on how things have started.

I'd certainly be upset if we contrived to lose it 6-3

Lovely 40-yard cross-fielder from Izzy to Kachunga on the counter-attack - Kachunga takes it down well in the area but can't turn it home

GOAL Doyler tap-in from Izzy cross
Re: And a Po(r)t o Vale, Papa John please. 7-0clock Unibol.
Lovely play by Isgrove to setup the goal. Doyle doing what he does best and finishing as simple as a chance as he's gonna get.
Kachunga's ball seemed really well timed and unlucky not to get Isgrove through.
The more I watch the more I get the impression that Tutte's going to be Bolton's forgotten man this season. A few bad moments from Tutte in the build up, not hoofing the ball and just letting the players awkwardly lead out with it and not being solid. He's not at fault for the goal but he's not helped as much as he could. Shame really as up to that point I was getting the impression that he's doing a relatively solid if unspectacular job.
Delf's gone frustatingly quiet. Maybe that's just how we're playing in terms of bypassing the CAM role and going wide. Either way i'm seeing a decent amount of running around followed by not fully committing on the tackle.

Baptiste sliding in upset the defensive organisation - Kachunga tried to graft back but could only deflect the pull-back to Conlon, whose shot deflected in off the post

Goal was that in to out move again. But worrying how we are struggling against their 2nd string. It’s hard to say but is it just me who thinks Brockbank looks like they’ve plucked a lifetime fan out of the crowd for a few minutes in a testimonial? Honestly looks absolutely lost in every sense.

Goal Vale 2-1. Amoo shot from edge goes straight through Gilks at the near post.
Re: And a Po(r)t o Vale, Papa John please. 7-0clock Unibol.
Matt Gilks proving why he can't be trusted. That is awful.
Re: And a Po(r)t o Vale, Papa John please. 7-0clock Unibol.
Oof, that’s some bad keeping.
Re: And a Po(r)t o Vale, Papa John please. 7-0clock Unibol.
Good defensive play by Tutte there. Baptiste did indeed unsettle the defence. Still fancying our chances here.
FFS. 2-1. Just as I wrote fancying our chances. Gilks at fault, near post.
Not sure what's happened to Gilks, but he's seeming unreliable at the moment when he was solid last season.

Have to say that from looking slickly confident we've collapsed in the last 15 minutes.

Sloppy all over the park. Vale showing what can be achieved if you move the ball quickly

"It needs to improve second half, this," says expert witness Harlan Sidekick.

Funny old game. A week and a half ago you start to dream now I’m convinced he’s cocked up with the keeper again this summer and we’re replacements light in every department!

Overall this 45 minutes has been shockingly bad. Midfield are absolutely dreadful. Delfouneso played well for 10 minutes now he’s disappeared. Tutte started well but made a right mess for the equaliser and since then looks awful. Thomason is well, non existent.
Poor from Santos too. Gilks all over the show. Brockbank never a professional footballer. Gordon not much clue either. Kachunga looks unfit.
Only player I’d say has looked good is Isgrove. Evatt will be very unhappy.

We went to absolute shit after scoring. Thomason not having his best game at all, and his physical deficiencies are really noticeable compared to our first choice CMs.
