I think the gains are easier at the back too. Attacking we're doing everything right and it's the final pass/shot across lots of people (and then days like today it comes good). At the back they just look off at the moment. Easier to pick individuals who need to improve or get dropped.

Next goal for us please!
That’s my point. It’s harder to improve on 12 goals in 7 games or nearly 80 across the season. But easier to improve on conceding on what would average out to 65 goals.

Well, we're currently joint top scorers in the league with the 5th leakiest defence...that suggests more of a problem at one end than the other.
We gained one point, or if you prefer dropped five, from two games in which we had three times as much possession as the oppo. That's nothing to do with the defence.

However you cut it, to say all problems are only at one end is patently ridiculous.

Are you allowed to swear on here, seriously ?

What the f-ck is wrong with us. 3 - 2 now, this is a home game against - with all respect - a team we should be taking points off.

Can't hold a lead and allow opponents back in it, really pissed off after quite calm a moment ago. Need a break now it's half-time.

If we lose again here I don't know what fans reaction will be, this is, I don't know what words to include.
I think this is less about what is wrong with Ipswich and more about what is right with Bolton.

We've been building something really good since last season and have been largely dominant against teams that sit back and we look very threatening against teams that attack us. This is no fluke, this is over a season in the making, really good management and good work from the board room.

this, our Ipswich friend, is true.

Also: don't give up on it yet. This time last year we were getting humiliated by all-sorts - 4-0 at Orient, 6-3 at home to Port Vale. Cook will see you right. Just hopefully, with all respect and love, not this afternoon.

Wow.

Rico Beckham.

What a finish from a centre back too.

It would be. Show me where anyone did. I've said that we can improve at both ends, but I'm assured by some that there's absolutely no problem with the attack. It's working well today, and for that I'm glad, but it sure is a shame about those five dropped points ain't it?

Think it was directly after set piece?

Ipswich hitting the post. They're still got a chance to get some more.

Perhaps this is a good game to give Aimson his debut later on.

Can we give Kane Vincent-Young one of those 'You've been Dapo'd' awards?

Currently a great scoreline for Dapo Afolayan's birthday. Hopefully another goal for him to give him a hat trick.

On another note, Lincoln are 5-1 up away at Cambridge.
