Gethin Jones off, Isgrove on.

Thought he'd slowed down after the knock.

Looked very soft but there weren’t many protests from white shirts

Argh, if only Isgrove’s ball was a bit softer there…

What happened with their free kick that led to the goal? Did santos assumee it was offside and grabbed the ball to take a quick free kick, only for it not to be offside so he got booked for deliberate handball?

Credit to Dixon for the penalty save. Goalies usually take a chance on right or left, he stayed where he was a saved it. Well done. :oyea:

Seems like it.

How the ref thought it wasn't offside I'll never know. The balance for decisions was so uneven. Dreadful performance by the man with the whistle.

Santos was right they were offside by some distance, a shocking decision by another awful referee, I'm sure the even linesman had his flag up.

Good 1st half with 2 fantastic goals, but a very poor 2nd half for me - this should have been comfortable at 2-0 and we should have gone at them 2nd half and got 3 or 4 but we then stopped playing after the 2nd - with their penalty (which was awful BTW) we could have drawn this game by switching off. I'm not sure what happened but that 2nd half was very disappointing IMO there was a lack of intensity throughout the whole team, who thought the game was won. BTW someone said near me that that's Santos is now on 5 yellows & a 1 game ban is that correct ?, but he was MOM by some distance IMO that goal Iine clearance in the 1st half was immense.

I have to say that I came away a bit disappointed as we could have easily shot ourselves in the foot & drew that, when I thought we should have won that 3 or 4-0. I have to say being honest that I thought that yet again Doyle was disappointing today, we need a better main striker IMO, at times I forgot he was on the pitch.

Dominant performance. Santos was immense. Aside from the penalty and the dubious free kick, Shrewsbury never really had a sniff. We were terrific.
