Ok lets just keep playing Brockbank for the next 3-4 months and do fcuk all - I'd rather bring in an unfit experienced RB than play Brockbank, but then again what do I know, Worthy is obviously far more wise, patient & ITK than I'll ever be.
It’s shit to lose Jones but it’s pretty unlikely a suitable right back fit enough to play now is out there. So we have a bad situation but just have to deal with it. Were an option there it’s not like the club wouldn’t try just to annoy you. So I imagine it’s just one of those situations we just have to live with.

I note that Iles made a comment in his recent piece in the BN on the transfer windows and finances and essentially said exactly what I have that FV aren’t throwing money at it, there is a plan for windows already and financially they are trying to steer the club towards break even. We probably just have to be patient and build it over time.

Sir, I doff my cap to you yet again - you are the ultimate Mr know it all, ITK fan, Mr BWFC that I've ever known in my 40 years of following BWFC, what you don't know about the goings on at BWFC in public or private isn't worth knowing & you have proved it yet again as the esteemed Mr Iles agrees with you,

Drama and it's not even Saturday! :-)

If he has a RB on a free in his sights, I'm fine with that - sod all to do with wisdom or ITK.

So its drama not just a differing opinion ?

Why bother suggesting I'm obviously more wise, patient and/or ITK? I asked what he could do. You suggested a free - I agreed.

Worthy you said 'Not sure what Evatt can proactively do, if we're out of RB's and the transfer window is shut?' like you know what's going on behind the scenes i.e. BWFCI like. which is why I said what I said in regards to being wise, ITK etc.

IMO we can't afford to do fcuk all for 3-4 months without a decent RB, hence my comments about Evatt needing to be proactive - I don't have the same information as he does in regards to anyone who may be available on a free, but if there is anyone I would seriously think about bringing a RB in even on a short term basis - to do nothing and just simply hope Brockbank improves isn't good IMO.

Also your obviously quite a passive person, but I'm clearly much more impatient hence the differing opinions.

However forums such as this (as in life generally) would be quite boring if we were all of the same ilk, would it not?

DSB did a free transfer right back list on another thread. I suspect he picked best/most likely and the options were either injury prone and unfit or unlikely to be better than brockbank. It’s a failed gamble on Evatt and markhams behalf but I’m not up for signing anyone just cos we are in a bad spot. If someone can come in on trial and prove their worth (Lee last season) fair enough.

Even if a right back was out there who was any good it’s weeks before they’d be able to play. And then we’ve got another player filling a space.

Sometimes things happen and you have no choice but to live with them and this is probably one of those. Evatt won’t sit there and not bring someone in if it was possible and he thought it would improve us. But I don’t think any free in October/November is likely to do that. Kachunga took a fair while to get close to match fit and given the work asked of full backs in our side I’d say it’s doubtful you’d be throwing a free in till close to Christmas any way by the time they got up to speed.

I don’t like it but I guess we might have to go 3 at the back in the interim.

No Sir. T'was a question. :-)

I think it's a decent shout to try a free if one was about the right shape. Only he and FV know whether he has any leeway...

I'd be trying Baptiste and then . I suspect it'll still be Brockbank on Saturday, but if he struggles again we need to try alternatives. Johnston possibly since we have other CH options?
I don't know, but it's a big problem.

Johnston or Baptiste appear the only viable alternatives unless Aimson can play there?

I'd love him to prove me wrong but I can't see Brocky making it at this level and at the moment, I can't see us winning with him in the side.

0-1 defeat.

Yeah I was wondering if he might roll the dice on that one (Johnston), too.

I'll eat my hat if he plays a left footed centre half at right back!

If you think Brocky is bad at RB, put Baptiste there and I'm afraid you will see a redefinition of bad. I actually thought he was worse than Brocky at Plymouth in his preferred CB position. He chased shadows and was easily by-past. Don't want to see him experiment at RB which requires a lot more energy, especially now at his age.

The more I think about this the more the answer is obviously sexy Kieron. He's spent a big part of his career there, mainly second tier. And while no-one disagrees Sheehan has dropped off, Sheehan in CM is light years ahead of any other feck at right back.

IDK, would Lee’s benefit at RB make up for his absence in the middle?

Hasn’t Brandon Comley been playing RB?

Doesn’t matter much anyway, I suspect it’ll be Brocky.

Can we register Comley any time or has a deadline passed?
