Ok lets just keep playing Brockbank for the next 3-4 months and do fcuk all - I'd rather bring in an unfit experienced RB than play Brockbank, but then again what do I know, Worthy is obviously far more wise, patient & ITK than I'll ever be.

It’s shit to lose Jones but it’s pretty unlikely a suitable right back fit enough to play now is out there. So we have a bad situation but just have to deal with it. Were an option there it’s not like the club wouldn’t try just to annoy you. So I imagine it’s just one of those situations we just have to live with.

I note that Iles made a comment in his recent piece in the BN on the transfer windows and finances and essentially said exactly what I have that FV aren’t throwing money at it, there is a plan for windows already and financially they are trying to steer the club towards break even. We probably just have to be patient and build it over time.

IMO we can't afford to do fcuk all for 3-4 months without a decent RB, hence my comments about Evatt needing to be proactive - I don't have the same information as he does in regards to anyone who may be available on a free, but if there is anyone I would seriously think about bringing a RB in even on a short term basis - to do nothing and just simply hope Brockbank improves isn't good IMO.

DSB did a free transfer right back list on another thread. I suspect he picked best/most likely and the options were either injury prone and unfit or unlikely to be better than brockbank. It’s a failed gamble on Evatt and markhams behalf but I’m not up for signing anyone just cos we are in a bad spot. If someone can come in on trial and prove their worth (Lee last season) fair enough.

Even if a right back was out there who was any good it’s weeks before they’d be able to play. And then we’ve got another player filling a space.

Sometimes things happen and you have no choice but to live with them and this is probably one of those. Evatt won’t sit there and not bring someone in if it was possible and he thought it would improve us. But I don’t think any free in October/November is likely to do that. Kachunga took a fair while to get close to match fit and given the work asked of full backs in our side I’d say it’s doubtful you’d be throwing a free in till close to Christmas any way by the time they got up to speed.

I don’t like it but I guess we might have to go 3 at the back in the interim.

If you think Brocky is bad at RB, put Baptiste there and I'm afraid you will see a redefinition of bad. I actually thought he was worse than Brocky at Plymouth in his preferred CB position. He chased shadows and was easily by-past. Don't want to see him experiment at RB which requires a lot more energy, especially now at his age.

The more I think about this the more the answer is obviously sexy Kieron. He's spent a big part of his career there, mainly second tier. And while no-one disagrees Sheehan has dropped off, Sheehan in CM is light years ahead of any other feck at right back.
