Anybody who is satisfied with that is easily pleased. it was awful. Another soft goal and the penalty save is annulled, Tripe...

Not really a massive sample size.
He's a huge, huge loss. We can win without him, though. That goal we conceded had nothing to do with Mj not being there and Dapo and Kachunga should have scored. We were not annihilated after he went off.
Probably the last player we wanted to lose, but it's big boy pants time for the rest of them.
We'll do well to tread water until January at this rate.

I agree, we've all been saying it for weeks. Tutte was never adequate cover but him being out at the same time is unfortunate. I think we leave a centre half (probably Johnston) in that role and tell him to kick everything.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:03 pmWe don’t win games without MJ. Evatt knows as much - he said that on Wednesday. If it’s a broken arm and he’s out for weeks that’s 0 points and bottom 3 here we come. He’s fecked it up massively.

Re: Not the only Wanderers..v Wycombe away 20-Nov 3-O clock.
The players left are absolutely not capable of playing a possession based pressing game. That’s not up for any debate. And right now we are absolutely desperate for results as our form is nothing short of unacceptable.
Evatt HAS to abandon his principles find a side who can be drilled to sit deeper, soak up pressure and use our strength in the front three to hit on the break.
Trying to play in a way we patently can’t do will keep seeing us getting beaten. And I’m very seriously worried about the drop zone now.
For weeks it’s been screaming that we need to grind out results. Now that’s not up for debate. We show the fight and discipline required or I’m not even sure January will save us.
In the longer term Evatt transfer window judgement is looking more and more a massive weakness. The issues most on here picked up have all come home to roost. We aren’t professionals yet could all see what he could not. The club needs to reflect how much money was thrown at some of the players we signed. Because we can’t keep going through these cycles. This season I was always happy with solid consolidation. But we’ve lost the plot specifically since Evatt imploded post match at Sheffield Wednesday.

We may not always agree but here was me also wondering what game people were watching. The fact we stayed at 0-0 so long had little to do with our teams endeavours and the fact Wycombe are on a poor run of form and lacked confidence. And the penalty miss.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:08 pmAnybody who is satisfied with that is easily pleased. it was awful. Another soft goal and the penalty save is annulled, Tripe...
I thought it was a nothing performance. Always look like conceding.

On the plus side, Evatt loves it when people write him off. So he's going to have a stellar couple of days.

Sheehan's out for nine months and Baka's out for six to eight weeks.

Playing devil's advocate for a moment if I may....
What exactly has "he fecked up"? The whole Sarce thing maybe, but that was 1 player and reading the doom and gloom from everyone then 1 player - no matter who it was - would not be the difference between us winning and losing (be realistic - if there was 1 player who could have such an impact on us he wouldn't have been with us in the first place).
If its the summer signings, then I seem to recall most people being chuffed to bits with the business we did at the time, so if that's not worked out its not a feck up - its bad luck. It would be different if we all to a man said he was making the wrong choices, but that wasn't the case.....

Or just that people had overestimated the quality of the players we'd signed.

Everyone said only having MJ was incredibly risky and relying on probably league two at best Thomason, Tutte and Brockbank to cover key areas was not a good plan.dave the minion wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:20 pmPlaying devil's advocate for a moment if I may....

Sarce hasn’t helped. But to come out with the nonsense after it about us having loads of options and being better off - not sure that reflects any credibility or judgement.

Shit, just seen it. Poor lad. A knee injury nearly ruined his career when he was a kid and is why he left Swansea. Hope he comes back from it.
Was in Wale's last squad too.

We’re going to lose every game until we either get MJ fit or sign a replacement
Not many managers get to lose that many games and keep their job
He might get lucky with Sharon as she seems more tollerant than most but the crowds going to turn. It feels very Owen Coyle and muamba / Holden to me.
Awful news re Sheehan. It never rains…

It's just a flesh wound. I don't think he's going to get a great reception, next home game if we go 1 down to a walk in.

Doesn't to me, but I'm not inside the club to say.
Very serious situation for everyone, though, and it could easily cost Evatt his job. On the flip side, if he pulls results out at home it could reinforce his standing with the higher ups.

Yes, but I should've added 'away from our goal'. To one of our players is asking too much and I don't want to confuse the ladGhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:10 pmEven the ball? I get very worried when he kicks the ball.
