We sure don't want to be exchanging places with Table-proppers Doncaster in front of the home support (or away for that matter ) at the Unibol tomorrow. Nothing less than a clean-sheet goal-scoring display will do thanks...Have at it.

Does this count as an injury crisis yet?

Dixon, Izzy, Santos, Aimson, John, Johnston, Thomason, Dapo, Delf, Amaechi, Kachunga.
Gordon, Lee (before he breaks) and Gilks on the bench. Rest would be kids.
Seems about the only 11 we can put out, unless we play Gordon left wing to avoid wrecking Amaechi.

Gordon or John in Centre mid I am guessing…absolutely woeful. All long term injuries as well. They have to be scouring the free transfer market.

I think that Doyle will be back tomorrow.

You'd think Johnston in for Williams, Thomason in the middle and either Lee or Delf/Dapo/Xav at 10. Izzy goes back to right back.
I struggle to see how Lee goes through every match until Jan without also getting injured, but if I'm wrong fantastic.

This, I think. Although there are, just about, options.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 3:17 pmYou'd think Johnston in for Williams, Thomason in the middle and either Lee or Delf/Dapo/Xav at 10. Izzy goes back to right back.
He could theoretically play Aimson at RB with Johnston besides Santos. But I'm not sure Aimson is an Evatt RB, even in these dire straits – maybe away (Baps is hardly Cafu), but not at home to second-bottom.
One other option is Lee+Tomo behind Dapo (or possibly Delf - I can't see Amaechi at 10). Has the fewest square pegs, theoretically. Depends how much he trusts Johnston in midfield. We're flying pretty much blind here.
For the Donny game specifically, I'd expect John-Aimson-Santos-Izzy / Johnston-Tomo / Dapo-Lee-Kachunga / Doyle - and if Doyler's still out, Delf in with Kacha at 9. But really, who knows?
Yeah, it's definitely a worry. It doesn't even feel like we can just ask him to give us an hour out of the 90 - not that sort of player, and perhaps not that sort of injury risk. We worried that MJ was going to run his legs to stumps - now it might have to be Lee. One idea – I think it was Pru's - is to get him to sit more, but again that runs contra to Evattball, especially in home games we need to win (and therefore in which the oppos might sit back again. Remember when that was our biggest problem?)GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 3:17 pmI struggle to see how Lee goes through every match until Jan without also getting injured, but if I'm wrong fantastic.
If Lee snaps, then our only "senior" central midfielder is 20. It's quite the hand of cards.
ADDENDUM In his pre-match presser, Evatt says we've only 14 fit senior players available – presumably Gilks, Dixon, Aimson, Santos, Johnston, John, Gordon, Isgrove, Lee, Thomason, Dapo, Delf, Kacha and Amaechi - but Iles suspects Doyle will be back. Luxury!

He's also said, a couple of times now, that "we're stuck with what we have until January" - So I'm sort of assuming he's covering all the "can we recall X from Mars FC" type of scenarios...

Haven't we also got Regan Riley in the U18's....He's played grown-ups before and might be an option instead of starting Gilks on the left wing...

There’s definitely some irony this being Doncaster btw.
