I’m scratching my head seeing him as an improvement but not a clue how he’s getting in the side.
I think the beauty of him is he can sit alongside either Williams or Morley and still offer something to contrast his partner. He can play 10 in place of Lee. He can play alongside Lee as a double 8 with Williams or Morley behind.

Any midfield 3 we play he can offer something worth having. That goes for 4-3-3 or 5-3-2.

I said after the Ipswich game that tactically, regardless of anything else, I think it's Morley plus 2 from now on; but we have so many options if we get this deal done.

Sorry but I refuse to believe in a midfield without Jesus 😢

Rumours that Swansea are in for yon Ogbeta lad at Shrewsbury - the ex-City kid, LWB.

Here's some analysis on him from a stat-totin' Swans fan.

Iles seems to be hinting we may have converted Fossey's loan into a permanent deal, but not sure that's what he means.

I think he’s got quotes from earlier about us trying to sign him, fingers crossed as he’s clearly a good un.

I saw that and can't really think what else it could mean, although I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it's just an interview with the BN.

It read to me like a "wouldn't it be good if..." rather than "here's something I know..." but hope I'm wrong.

Mind that was before I read the "Marlon news in the morning, wink, wink" bit...

Ben Thompson, the Millwall midfielder I noted and Ghost admired, has indeed joined his old boss Neil Harris's Gillingham until the end of the season. Which means he's available again in summer, but I'm not sure a space in our midfield is...

No longer have any need of him, I don't think. As you say, I think he's a great player at this level; but everything we do now in midfield and forward areas has to be about the Championship.

Every window they make their own jobs harder. They need to find lads now who can definitely produce in the division above and lads who may be able to play in the Premier League one day.

In a way I'm jealous of them. The best part of recruitment is when you have the freedom to do aspirational work rather than having to fire fight. They are earning themselves that freedom through quality work in this window. I'm no longer remotely concerned about dropping out of this division.

And someone is sniffing around Darcy as well.

I was thinking about this earlier. If we hadn't won the last three games - and, IMHO, all three were lose-able - then we'd currently be occupying the fourth relegation spot. But, agree that we should be looking upwards now.

Old friend: Dempsey will have at least one familiar face in the changing room- Gethin Jones, with whom he played 18 times (and was in another 16 matchday squads) for Fleetwood during 2018. He'll also know Gillo, with whom he played three times.

There's some suggestion Port Vale are the club interested in Darcy.
