Catch 22. Points on the board, yes! An away game with a weakened side, debatable..Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 12:40 pmWhich brings to mind an interesting question: if you (dear forum reader) could postpone this game now, presumably till we've more feet in boots, would you do so? Or are we confident enough that we can beat them again and get points on the board?TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 12:38 pmBest take your scarves gloves and wellies if the weather forecast of heavy snow in the north west is anything to go by. (if the game is on at all?) Worth checking before you set off...
A week without a game might encourage hastiness, but confidence isn't too strong. Heart says play, head says......play..

Latest injury news. Nobody back for tomorrow night from the walking wounded, but very positive news about MJ Williams likely being back for Accrington on Saturday.

Evatt: “I think Harry Brockbank will return to training on Thursday. MJ has joined in today. He’s not fit and available for tomorrow unfortunately but he will be for Saturday, which is excellent news. Amadou (Bakayoko) is progressing really well, Gethin (Jones) has started to do some pitch work and we’ll monitor that very closely. Obviously, Lloyd (Isgrove) and Josh Sheehan are going under the knife this week. I’m losing track, we’ve got that many. [Head physio] Matt Barrass is off with Covid so that about sums it up – a full treatment room and no physio. But the other physios have stepped up really well and done great, and Matt comes out of quarantine this week.”

I'd take a postponement now tbh. A couple of decent home performances have settled the nerves but I'll be pleasantly surprised if we can get anything from these next two.

Fleetwood weather forecast is coldish with rain showers but the prophesised snow seems to be on hold, so it looks like game on.

Being both "Not Saturday" and "Not On Telly", the match is available to buy on iFollow for a tenner, should you wish to.

Right, not many options available to us, of course, this evening. I presume we'll be going three at the back again.
Dixon
Aimson Santos Johnston
Gordon John
Lee Thomason
Kachunga Doyle Dapo
Does that look right?

I think away from home there is a risk that midfield gets overrun. However, we can change and move to a back four with Johnston stepping into midfield. So we could alternate and may have to.
I'd also be surprised if Ameachi doesn't play. I'd probably put Kachunga in the middle.

Does to me. Who does that leave on the bench? Delfonso, Amitri, Baptiste + juveniles?

Yeah I was thinking that, but then do you play Baptiste at right back or Gordon? Baptiste looked awful there vs Fleetwood's kids.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 3:58 pmI think away from home there is a risk that midfield gets overrun. Gilks, too. So three kids. Presumably the usual three – Russ Conway, Julian Pettifer and Lenny Henry.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:00 pmWho does that leave on the bench? Delfonso, Amitri, Baptiste + juveniles?

Gordon, by a mile, for me. Baps at right back has only not been agonising when we faced a back three at Wycombe. Anyone running at him now turns my bowels to ice.The_Gun wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:06 pmYeah I was thinking that, but then do you play Baptiste at right back or Gordon? I think Doyle plays if Doyle's fit, but he might be pulled after 60 minutes – partly with Saturday in mind, partly because it's the only place we have a real option to change personnel.
