Apparently Baps has just “knocked it off the Fleetwood man,” which takes some doing

Quite like the xG metric to be honest. I do wonder however how Doyle fairs on that xG metric though. Don't remember him getting an abundance of chances in decent positions, despite the team creating a fair few.
Ethan Hamilton playing for the opposition today. Don't remember him being any good so hopefully that'll be a good sign. Suspect that Thomason is a better player.
Two chances cleared off the line. Not looking good. I do wonder if the 2nd one went in. Didn't think there was an offside in there.
We look miles more up for this than our last few away games.
Great save by their GK to keep out John's effort.

If this were a documentary, the soundtrack would have changed to doomy minor-key piano

My judgement might've been clouded by the fact things were falling apart on the pitch at the time but I thought Hamilton was quite a tidy footballer during his spell with us.

I've just seen a clip of Doyle's miss. Blimey O'Reilly.

Me too. He could hit them from distance. Wasn't he our last scorer in the aborted season?nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 3:18 pmMy judgement might've been clouded by the fact things were falling apart on the pitch at the time but I thought Hamilton was quite a tidy footballer during his spell with us.

At least Baps got a good view of it as their bloke wandered in front of him and bonced home unopposed.
Time to draw the curtains.

MJ and Baptiste have got to attack the ball a little quicker there.
Nice to see some support for Hamilton being good, its interesting how people see things. Must just be me.
Lovely play to get a shot for Lee.

Defensively this is the worst Bolton side I’ve ever seen. Such a soft centre.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 3:22 pmAt least Baps got a good view of it as their bloke wandered in front of him and bonced home unopposed.

I’m not seeing a lack of fight. Ability and belief, maybe, but not (yet) fight.

After that attempt by Doyler/Declan, you see the fundamental flaw with xG....
