Trouble brewing - Burton away 29 Dec 19:45

Covid update -

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/19 ... ion-clash/

It sounds like pretty much the whole squad has got it, with some back on the 27, some the 28th. We have a game at Burton on the 29th where the most training and match time players will have had in the past two weeks is one day. Some have had “quite severe” symptoms. To put it mildly it does not sound good! I think we have write offs next two games whatever (assuming they are played) and then we will hopefully get some new blood in.

As a further ray of sunshine it’s also put Gethin Jones (who sounds like one of the lucky ones who hasn’t caught it) and Bakayoko (who is a confirmed case) return to training back behind schedule. Be an interesting team selection this one!

Feels like a continuation of how many fit bodies. Jan can't roll in soon enough.

Well, I've finally tested positive and if they feel as bad as I do, I'm not surprised they can't run around or hit a barn door. Mind, I managed to combine it with the booster (got my third jab on Monday) so my brain is trying to leak out through my ears.

As for BW, I know it's bad for those who have tickets (and for clubs relying on revenue) but frankly the more games we have postponed the better.

Worth noting that the cavalry won't all arrive on Jan 1st. Last season we got Declan John on Jan 7th, Sexy Kieran on the 8th, Elbo & Jackson on the 16th, then four on deadline day (Feb 1st) - MJ, Maddison, Dapo and goalie Jensen. In fact, we also lost Kioso on Jan 11th, by which time Dec was already injured, so we didn't strengthen numerically until the second half of the month.

Senior and Kachunga appear to the two virus free. Photo of them training at the Arena yesterday. Hope Adam gets another chance in any case sounds like he did himself no harm at Accy and the lad bleeds Bolton wanderers.

Get well soon DSB. I've had pre vaccine COVID, 2 vaccines and a booster. The booster was by far the worst peak I felt of any of them, but only for 24 hours.

Wouldn't surprise me if we get no-one until late Jan like you say, but nor would it if we don't play again til then.

Had it a couple of months back and it’s not great for sure. If it’s any consolation I was better after three days. They were three pretty awful days. When I say better I mean well enough to function. Not well enough to run round a field. Take care. Hope you feel better soon.

Cheers all. Hoping it’s the booster that’s flattened me, and I’ll therefore pick up soon (not least as I’m working Boxing Day and interviewing on the 27th). At least there’s no Wanderers to depress me :-)

Take it easy DSB - we might be off until New Year’s now if we follow the Bradford example https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk ... 558242.amp

I think we got lucky D.S.B. We've both had booster injections with hardly any reaction and due to not going out much (the wife does weekly shops, etc) and sensible visits from family, we've been okay. Hope you soon get over your spell and all the best for Christmas. All the best to you lads too and hope things improves for the club soon. .

Also worth noting that after Burton (29 Dec) and Rotherham (1 Jan) (assuming they go ahead) our next league game is not until 15 Jan.

Serious shit, the strongly worded letter....he's just missing the bit about having to self isolate, with little choice in the matter...
