Clearly, painfully, not good enough.

If I'm searching for green shoots, I'd say Charles looked promising, Aimson had his best game in a while, Geth slotted straight back in and Fossey looked a threat in wide attack.

But it's a worrying table. Thankfully, several people said they'd be happy with 18th. But in seriousness, we won't keep hold of that place unless we stop conceding, start scoring or both.

Bunch of jelly-babies. Every team we play bully us and walk all over us. Referees in this league wouldn't get a job as rag and bone men. If I were a season-ticket holder right now I'd want my money back. Our lot would lose a fight with a wet paper bag.Five white shirts and a keeper and one man walks through them and scores. Fed up.

I’m worried about the fixtures we have - could quite easily lose the next 3…need to stop the rot Saturday. Need some inspiration from somewhere.

For all the bellyaching about Wycombe, I'd much rather be talking in terms of their points, goals for and goals against, than bemoaning our ability to concede and inability to score...

As I was saying the other day. It's a (remote) possibility that we are in the bottom 4 by Feb, Covid cancels the season and we bugger off down before the new signings can have an impact.

I’ve seen football for a long time. We look dead ringers for any number of relegation teams I’ve watched.

No spirit. Body language poor. Huff and puff with no end product then concede comically soft goals.

Wycombe played in 2nd gear tonight and won at ease.

Something is seriously wrong the group looks a mess.

Fossey played brilliantly tonight but cross after cross and nothing in the box.

Nothing up front and comical at the back. So far not one issue has been fixed and I fear Evatt doesn’t even understand the problems. Can’t defend. Can’t score. Football is fundamentally about those two things.

And we are signing nice midfield players who can pass the ball. Why not fix the major issues in our team. Soft throughout. No organisation at the back and defenders who are bullied and battered at will. And nothing of substance up front so we cannot hold the ball up.

Very depressing. A long and hard second half of the season coming up and by god it will be a fight and I can name a few I don’t think are up for it.

You don't have to statistically validate that. We'll take it on face value...I'm quite looking forwards to "the roll call of inadequacy" when Insano gets in...

Oh and the post match presser....I'm guessing we'll hear about how far out of sight we should've been and maybe the odd nod at "mistakes" with a touch of us only having ourselves to blame and how bad the ref was

Since we won't see them again till next season, surely the latter is what we need to address. Wycombe are history right now.

If your a Morecambe fan looking for a team to finish above who lacks fight and is dropping like a stone at the moment it’s us. We’re like a league one version of the west ham side of old we laughed at all those years ago.

He can’t keep ignoring the need for steel - we’re such a light touch in both boxes. I’d struggle to argue against anyone making a claim santos needs replacing. Dixon is becoming a bigger problem. John is soft as white as well.

Sorry, was he only brilliant for the last 30 minutes and not the first 60?

I'm just trying to balance the "we're signing all the wrong people" stuff with the new lad being "brilliant"...

To be honest, yes.

I won't be drawing too much from one performance, good or bad, but he began to impress when played as a winger rather than a full-back.

Agree. His positioning and first touch looked more suspect at FB...but like you, not drawing too many conclusions...

Yep. Shame once again we had such a poor summer that we need January to fix it. Terrible in both boxes. When is he fixing that? And a team that doesn’t look like it wants to be out there.

Huge gulf in class of managers evident today. Wycombe organised. Nothing special. But drilled and coached. We looked a shambles as per. Time for Evatt to get a tune out of the best team in the division eh?

Just strikes me as odd that you'd moan about what we're doing this window when only two new signings were out there and one was "brilliant."

We just look wrong.

When we're defending we look outnumbered
When we're attacking we look outnumbered.
No one capable of winning a header. Weak in the challenge.

New players alone wont fix this. It's akin to shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic. Play to a system that suits. Practice set pieces. Indulge in a bit of shithousery eg learn something from tonight!

I’m asking when will we fix the major problems that have led us to this point. We can’t compete physically. Number one. We can’t defend. Number two. We don’t look like scoring goals. Number three. Our set piece are abysmal. Number four.

Those are the glaring and obvious issues that any manager who has any clue would have seen.

So I’m asking in that order when are they going to be addressed?

I imagine when those players are available.

Fossey was "brilliant", as you put it. Charles, I'd imagine you'd agree, added physicality and fight.

Not sure what more you'd ask thus far given we're only two transfers in.

On the coaching side, yeah, loads to improve on.
