I'm giving Fossey MOTM, that lads energy on the right has knackered the Ipswich back line. Great effort lad!

Yellow for Santos

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:

I do wonder if we've had an improvement in our set pieces this match or if Ipswich are bad and we've just took advantage of their failings. Either way some positive sights.

Fair few moments being added here for our subs.

Great work there today. Well done Bolton :D

Last season we swapped out the keeper we won 2-0 in front of the cameras at home did we not?
I thank you.

Great result. Such a mood changer. Gethin Jones in the side and we haven't conceded since he came back in against Wycombe. Wrap him up in cotton wool.

Boosh.

Superb. All about attitude that. E.g. Santos finally had the risk/reward calibration right. Was by no means a hoik it wherever it came near. But no fannying about. Enjoyed defending. Organised, covering, decisive. Really big step.

GK looked a bit nervous but it really does help that he can kick it past the halfway line.

I don't know if it's been noted, but the ref plays a superb advantage in the build up to the first. Their defender climbs on Afolyan's back, the ref acknowledged it and pointed to the ball.
Credit where it's due.

That was by far and away the most balanced team performance I've seen this season.

Wonderful. feck knows what the team will be for Shrewsbury 😁
May the bridges I burn light your way

Was the improvement in part due to having an actual midfield, or something else?

Much needed win for evatt team and the fans
New players looked good, still had a few sloppy passes but defended well today for a change
New keeper did ok but no more vocal or commanding than dixon. Nervous start but settled in
Flossy MOM for me
Roll on next week and let’s hope they carry a bit of confidence over with them
