Surely that "philosophy" was in evidence when we finished the season with loads of clean sheets. 12 in 21 games, wasn't it?

Evatt's stubbornness was there for all to see for the first half of the season. You were around for the first half of last season, weren't you?

My view is that last season at the start Evatt bought into his own hype. Second half he fixed it by turning us into a more solid machine that barely scored but didn’t concede. An efficient team.

After the start this season Evatt also ended up getting carried away. And once again he’s correcting this by ensuring we defend as a unit and are prepared to defend our box when needed.

I’d say that both Januarys he’s put the focus on results and grinding them out. Rather than talking about how much of the ball we have or some style nonsense.

To me he gets carried away. But we need to stay grounded now, clean sheets have to be the bedrock of any successful team. I think we’ve got more than enough to hurt teams with but I doubt we will be free scoring. Keep games tight and we have a chance.
