I honestly can't remember the last time I looked forward to a game quite like this one. Myself, HG and BP travelled up to the away game, and on that showing, although we lost 1-0, they were no better than us and we've improved since (OK, going off the last two games).
Sunnerlan' sold out the away end in a matter of minutes, and I'm really hoping that those who can, do, on our side.

I really can't see why Evatt would alter the starting line-up. Pressure for places - Blimey

Ah, I was going to use your award winning "Malice in Blunderland- Part two: Back through the looking glass" as a match headline Bruce, but hey,ho. :D

I agree this could be a White Hot fixture, because they sure will come a-hunting the double and I'm expecting we'll hear from our friendly Mackem shortly. Bring it on, I'm full of hope... :oyea:

Gonna be a cracker I think.

Wouldn’t underestimate them. They are up there for a reason. They find a way to win games more often than not. Often without playing brilliantly. But that’s why they are second.

Big game and big crowd will be exciting. And the pressure is all on them. Want to see us defend well. Take the game as deep as possible. Because I think we can beat teams like that.

With a goal and an assist in 65 sub minutes, Mr Dapo might raise an eyebrow.

Tempting as it might be to throw Dapster in from the start in a 3-4-1-2, I'd be tempted not to. I hope Lee is fit (or Dempsey signs...) because this will be a hard game. We can play the above format in some games, but as BWFCi says, these lads are up there for a reason. The fact we almost matched them up there is a reflection on how good we can be, but I do fear that if we hand majority possession to a team this good, they will find a way through.

Aye, hoping for a cracker here too. Should be a great atmosphere.

The game at their place was indicative of our form at the time. We had loads of the ball, created lots of chances but couldn't take them while at the same time looked vulnerable each time they broke.

I'm expecting a much tighter affair with fewer chances. Concede first and I think we'll lose but I'm going for a narrow 1 nil win.

Missed Ipswich but the Wycombe game just felt like no one was bothered on or off the pitch. An air of resignation almost. A couple of wins, new signings and a big noisy away following and this'll be very different. Looking forward to it. Would love to see what we can do if we get an early goal and get at a team. We can't keep gifting them a start... can we?
Charles to smack one in early doors, an end to end spectacular and a 3-1 win.

Over 18,000 tickets sold and counting. Come on - let's fill the place!

This makes me kind of excited but also kinda worried. Big crowds haven't always helped - our two 20k+ gates this season were Rotherham and Wigan.

But then, we can't be terrified of popularity... :D

True. The TV cameras pitching up rarely help matters either. :D

I see they have just signed Jack Clarke from Tottenham on loan. Some signing that for league one!

Xav Amaechi back in training and in consideration for a place on the bench.

Sexy Kieran is fine.

I'd be tempted to start Bod over Baka, if he's fit. But I'm worried that squeezing in Dapo would empty our midfield a bit. (I know he works hard, but you get my drift.)

Sunderland are a very good team for this league.

Unfortunately, that includes 5200 away fans, so whilst a good gate for the division, it's only 1500 or so more extra home tickets on top of Season Ticket holders, which seems disappointing to me

I'm sure sales have picked up since Tuesday, so we could be near 20-21k on the day

What's the outreach like in town these days? Is the club visible in Bolton? Ads, events, that sort of thing?
