Congratulations I heard the score earlier, you must be really excited. One thing about this league anything can happen but take nothing away Bolton made some headlines with this and your fans deserve something like this after falling on hard times, and like us into League One.

Watching highlights now on TV, League One will be on in a few moments and will watch your game moments along with ours and others held today. You should be able to get a promotion really, it's a shame you might not, Beaten us twice this season and a 6 - 0 win today over one of the favourites to win the League. Trying to say feel strongly Bolton are too good or too big a club name to be languishing in the third division of the league structure.

From where we were in the North Stand upper, everyone was up on their feet when he struck it, but when it bounced into the ground nearly everyone assumed it was flying over so sat down again to groans, only to see the net bulge and be up celebrating again!!! Seemed to be in slow motion...

Being honest, I actually thought it had gone over. The camera flashed almost immediately to Jones and the players celebrating and it was only then I believed it was in the net. I like Jones and am glad for him. Imagine if that had been the match winner

Woke up still buzzing and devouring the goals and stuff on social media. All 6 were great obviously but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th goals were just beautiful. As near to total football as you'll see

Took a massive deflection off the ground then bounced in the top corner. Any lower and he would have broken his ankle.

The first diving header I ever saw was Hugh Curran's against Bristol Rovers in 75.

The eight years old me didn't even know that diving headers were even a thing until that point.

I had an early introduction to diving headers Bruce, there was a big framed photograph on the wall of Len Hill's Barber Shop on Halliwell Road of Nat scoring against Chelsea with the said diving header. I can still see it now in my mind. Happy days..

As I'm a boring bastard I've had a quick read of the Sunderland forums, had to skip a fair bit because there's so much but I thought I'd share a selection of my peronal favourites from some of there more deluded fans:

Pre-Game predictions

• 0-3 the lads. I still remember their knacker of a manager telling everyone in an interview that they were the best side in the league after about 10 games

• Great to hear the optimism of the Bolton pundits on iFollow at Bolton. Only one of the 5 had 1-1, the rest a win to Bolton.....Do they know something we dont??
• As usual a team looks well up for it playing us. They’ll get tired after 25 minutes. Just need to keep it tight til then
• Their biggest game of the season, he'll be well up for it.

• We clearly have the more talented players and have bossed possession, but poor decisions around the box and a cavalier approach to defensive set up has left us two goals down to the Home Bargains side, who could have had four goals from nothing situations. We are sloppy and disorganised. LJ needs to have, at the very least, a visible impact on the second half or my confidence in him will have been exhausted,
