Fulham and Fossey have an agreement that he will come here if he feels settled. He signed his new deal on the understanding that he'd get first team games at Fulham, which they now can't offer him this season or next, and both clubs had a gentleman's agreement. We've already opened formal negotiations to get everything done well ahead of a summer bear pit. I'd be very surprised if he wasn't signed up relatively soon.

Fulham will let us have him. We want him. He wants to be here. Baring something very odd this'll get done.
This is great to hear, thanks.

Out of interest I've just caught up with an old mate (sports hack) for the first time in a while and the first players he asked about were Fossey and Trafford.

Big academy players. Does he tend to cover the Premier League?

More that than Academy, aye. He'd admit he's a generalist.

No. I want to be careful here and be very clear that I don't know anyone at Bolton and as far as I'm aware the club is unusually leakproof.

I am very confident of my footing on the other end of this one, though.

It's Iles' reporting I'm going off that we've formally opened talks with Fulham, which I didn't know until the club told him he could go ahead talk about it.

With what I've been told and what Iles said on Tuesday I'd be shocked if Fossey wasn't a Bolton player next season. But this is football and things happen.

Trafford loves a bit of media work and Fossey was a big deal until his injuries, so I'm not surprised to be honest. I think I said when Fossey rocked up that I'd lost track of him following his woes, but he was a worldwide "known".

I expected Fossey to need more time to settle and adapt to men's football, but I'm so very glad to be wrong about that. What a start he's made.

Great to see that the chaps at Sportinglife/Infogol think that we had the best window in League One. Also some interesting comments on individual players within the article.
