Dapo is so frustrating.
Out wide will bring a ball down from the moon, in the box sends it right back.

Proper donkey nutmeg from Charles. Love it.

Got it wrong Ian sadly.
Put the big lads on to counter the threat in the air but left us wanting up top. Charles for Baka and it's a different result.
We need Jones to stay fit as we're hopeless at the back without him.
End of the unbeaten run in a game that was typical of Plymouth away. Got to learn how to win dirty in dirty conditions.

Mention of John Beck earlier in the thread was prescient. I feel like I've just watched us get bullied by one of his sides with a pair of incompetent officials sticking the occasional boot in.
Fair play to Burton they played to their strengths and exploited our weaknesses. I knew it was going to be a bad day when i discovered a puncture on the car and walked dog shit back into the house.

I’m not sure that’s on Evatt. First twenty minutes we fell asleep at set pieces. Game over.
TomHamer is the worst footballer I think I’ve ever seen at this level. In fact im not even sure he can be called a footballer, he’s just a set piece quarterback.

They are only a couple of points behind us - so they’ve done that to plenty of teams. Real crime is they scraped an undeserved point at our place. I’ll be glad to see the back of them when they finally drop, 6 games, not won any! fecking bastards, still got Wilbraham day I guess.

Is shoving in the back not a foul anymore? Aussie football rules had nothing on that lot.I counted 42, and is that the three softest goals we've ever conceded in one game?.

I’d back us to take it out on Wimbledon Saturday BTW.

Poor game, poor performance and par for the course against Burton.
Nice finish from Charles.
Can't expect to sleepwalk through the first half an expect to get something.
We've been in a great run of form, so hopefully this is but a blip on the radar.

Right now I've got a horrible feeling of apathy about Wombles . I think I'll live....but unhappily. I think I'm Positively Fourth Street.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 9:56 pmI’d back us to take it out on Wimbledon Saturday BTW.

A weakness was ruthlessly exposed and we were left with too much to do. I think in hindsight the number of changes made prevented us playing with enough fluency to pull it back but it is what it is.
Onto the positives, Sadlier looked like he has something and Dad Bod was good at holding up the play even if we didn't know how to take advantage of it. I also thought Dempsey, after an inauspicious start to his career here, began to show glimpses of what he can do as the second half wore on.
We demonstrated last season we can recover from defeat and go on another run so let's hope we can do it again.

Hated every second of that. What is the opposite of football. Handsquare?

It was awful wasn’t it. I can’t believe they have found 2,000 people to pay to watch them.

I don't think it was Evatt's selection that was the issue. We more than matched them in the second half with the same 11.
The issue was that we'd not done enough work to deal with their set pieces and that we missed our two most important players, but it was still the right choice to rest them.
We move on. I said before I'd be prepared to take a loss in this game if it meant resting key players with an eye on winning every home game until the end of the season.
If we lose to Wimbledon (or don't win that game) that's when this result becomes serious.

The two games we won without him were at home to Crewe (currently 24th) and Donny (23rd)

It’s a shame Baptistes so obviously finished - missed a bit of nous in that opening salvo. There’s deffo room for an experienced Centre half on this squad in the summer.

You *have* to imagine that summer recruitment will concentrate on centre-backs, a left-back/LWB, a right-back/RWB (two if Fossey doesn't come), a defensive-minded central midfielder, and a goalkeeper. I'm not saying that in knee-jerk reaction to tonight's result – just that the rest of the squad is now full of fairly recent Evatt/Markham signings.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 10:22 pmIt’s a shame Baptistes so obviously finished - missed a bit of nous in that opening salvo.
